I'm grateful to Patreon member Kevin for this one. These two are absolute masters of their crafts and have very similar vocal techniques.
I enjoyed breaking this down, I look forward to hearing what you all think. Also, if you enjoyed this, please give Kevin a shout out in the comments.
Stay tuned, lots of new reactions coming soon for you all over here!
Cheers,
Tim

I really enjoy your reactions they are so filled with both enthusiasm and knowledge I am looking forward to your thoughts on Broken Vow another song Lara wrote. You might also enjoy the original Italian version of Adagio which Lara wrote as well. I don't know if you are still reacting to Dimash but Lara wrote the lyrics to Your love specifically for him.

You may get that chance. If you do let's follow Tim's highly respectful positivity. I agree with everything in your comment, however I would encourage every comment to be "does" vs "does not", and focus only on what YOU love most. This analysis was clearly professionally handled by Tim in this "CONTRAST". It was never a "comparison". It's a very fine line to walk.
It's always about "her choice", "her interpretation", "her style", "what was her audience", "what was chosen for the environment". ALL of the analysis ALWAYS delicately used positive comments. A lot of "its not better, its simply different". Celine's fans are just as vehemently passionate, protective, and sensitive as "The Queens". For example, does this sound different to you?
"Celine 's voice is BEAUTIFUL and Powerful, and impressive. "Pour Moi", Lara has this unique storyteller "supernatural" gift (Pardon Eric, "story liver") that invites you into these "vocal conversations" about life revealing, vulnerable, often painful emotions that you can't help but feel personally, as if she is singing directly to you, because, well, SHE is.

Yes, with Celine you feel part of something big, but lost in a big crowd.
With Lara, this is an intimate soul-to-soul conversation where she funnel all the emotions.

This was great to watch!
I think the story goes that Barbra heard this cover and really liked it, they've met each other and Barbra even covered one of Lara's songs.
As far as I know Lara didn't do any theater musicals but she has done covers of many of such songs. For example songs from the french musical Starmania and one from Phantom of the Opera.
Funny you mentioned Mr Hyde, she has a song called Mademoiselle Hyde which is a reference of that story but it's an original song.

It takes a real professional to do this level of Vocal analysis from two Legends. This is far beyond "reaction", this is why I support great Content Providers. I learn things with every analysis Tim does, and really appreciate the work it takes to pull this off. These are once in a generation Masters you should study if you want to rise to this level. Can't wait to see the YT reaction to this Epic contrast. It was handled with great class.

Yes I adore Linda Eder saw her in concert in January Lara could have done any of the roles Linda performed Scarlet Pimpernel or Jekyll and Hyde man that would have been just magical.

ok JUST MY OPINION but people often compare Lara to Celine I honestly believe the comparison should be with Barbara. They both sing in that warm embracing way they wrap the emotion around you and let you resonate with it. . Celine 's voice while being BEAUTIFUL is colder it does not invite you in to the emotion you absolutely feel it but as an observer more then a participant. If that makes any since at all lol.
