Uncut 1st Listen to Elton & Brandi's NEW ALBUM!

Come give this a listen with me and let me know what you think after. This was my first new album listen through! I like doing these.

What a great way to start the weekend. Brandi Carlile & Elton John just co-released a new album yesterday title 'Who Believes in Angels.'

Wow, a lot to process. These two coming together was absolutely spectacular. Some incredibly sophisticated lyrics as well as harmonies throughout.

I definitely have a couple favorites after having listened to the whole thing, but I'm very excited to hear what yours are.

I may have some student and instructor duets off of this, such a great work on harmonies!

I have a couple students working on this duet from Brandi and Alicia Keys…so beautiful. https://youtu.be/_yU1x-p_OdY?feature=shared

I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts in the comments.

Cheers!

Tim

Queen Mistletoe

Listening to this while making waffles in remembrance of my friends son who passed a year ago today. Rn I’m at your favorite - and so far it’s my favorite too. That hit home ❀️ I really enjoyed the start. Took me back to early Elton which is my favorite era of his. I’m not very familiar with Brandi except her hits, but damn πŸ₯° I enjoyed this album so much ✨ Vocals, lyrics everything 🀩

Beautiful Gaye, yes I felt a lot from the last song too.

Just finished listening and I will admit that I was astonished at how good this album was. I am probably one of the few, because of that huge gap in my musical journey, who is actually more familiar with Brandi Carlile than with Elton John. I've heard him, but haven't really listened to him. I was a bit sceptical about how well the two would mesh, but they are wonderful together. Two songs hit me especially hard. I went through almost the entire album thinking You Without Me was going to be my favorite. It was so heartfelt and real. But then we got to the last song "When this Old World is Done With Me" and that immediately became my definite favorite. Maybe it's because I am the same age as Elton John -- 78. I think it's because, in my own small way, I have traveled a similar path, as have all of us who are fortunate enough to have had a long lifespan. Not the fame and forture, of course, but the ups and down, heartaches and joys. They all come together and form a path that you can look back on. It's a path that, hopefully, has lead you to a place where you are at peace with yourself. It's a peace in knowing that, probably sooner rather than later, you will become one with the universe again and you can be satisfied with that ending to your story.
