AAP: 04-11.2024 Recap (Public)

Himokone here!
Based on community feedback, and some of my own concerns.
I've decided to start making public Art asset progress posts,
so that everyone can get at-least a surface-level view of how the development on Bedabots is progressing (At-least on the art-side of things)

The art serves a big role in Bedabots,
if there's an update-draught, that's usually due to me being the bottleneck.
The more progress made on the art, the sooner the updates will come to the game itself!
So, I believe these AAP posts could serve as a newsletter of sorts,
letting you all know how things are going!

The length of this public post will be an exception since it's a recap,
but future public AAP posts will be fairly short, just giving the rough overview of things.
If you're ever interested in finding out more, consider becoming a paid member, and you'll be able to access posts that will contain more in-depth info, pictures, PS files, Blender files, and other goodies!

Let's get into it!
04-05.2024
Little work was done, unfortunately,
as I was preoccupied with working on commissions for sustenance,
While we waited for the Kickstarter to conclude.

05.2024
Creating additional comic panels to expand the dealership scene,
where you buy your first Bedabot.
(We're still receiving feedback that things progress too rapidly leading up to your first night with SH0CK/K1TTY,
so I'm considering creating additional sprites, when the time allows it.)

06.2024
-Creating the Bedabot Height map,
   Which now serves as a rough guide for the general sizes and proportions of
   different Bedabot model types.
-Creating rough drafts of the comic for Chapter 2, part one
-Making various changes and adjustments to character 3D models,
  and handling other, numerous, small tasks.
 
07.2024
-Creating Red/P4ND4's full character sheet.
  Since it's main purpose is to be used as a guide for her 3D model,
  I did my best to be very thorough, as a result, it took a bit of time to finish.
-Made various changes to Red's design,
  as well as updated SH0CK/K1TTY's character sheet.

08.2024
-"Finished" working on Red/P4ND4's 3D model.
  (I have a lot to learn regarding 3D, so I did the best I could at the time,
   but, later on as work was done on her Rig and animations,
   numerous issues inevitably appeared)
-Reworked and optimized SH0CK/K1TTY's and the protag's
  3D models. (their topology used to be very rushed and messy)

09.2024
-Completed 3D modeling the apartment.
-Made/Remade the sprites for every apartment asset.
  (it used to be mostly just a flat JPG of a colored sketch, which isn't good.
   So I took the time to rework it completely, which was very valuable,
   but time-consuming.)
-Completed sketching the comic panels for Chapter 2, part one.
  (this was very fun!)

10.2024
-Completed the Lineart for 21 comic panels (7 of which have a total of 45 variations) for Chapter 2, part one.
 (Doubling the canvas size of the panels resulted in better quality,
  and detail density, but takes more time to finish.
  I hope to further improve my skills in the future
  so I can complete these tasks quicker!)

11.2024
-Made 37 character poses in Blender
-Made 7 animations
  (currently just keyframes, due to lack of time)
 More progress would have been made this month,
 but unfortunately, about 60-70% of my time this month was spent on
 reworking the 3D models yet again, and implementing numerous
 bugfixes to the character rigs.

Plans for 12.2024
For December, I plan to:
-color every comic page for Chapter 2, part one.
-Pose missing sprites from Chapter 2, part one.
-Polish all sprites Chapter 2, part one.
  (they're currently all a bit rough around the edges)
