The creation of the fortune teller

Finally I get to talk about what is I think my favorite character in the whole series! Sorry for the inactivity on the patreon, we have been hard at work behind the scenes! BUT you will be getting an extra behind the scenes post this week as a reward for your patience!

The main note was literally just what he was wearing at first! The main inspiration came from all those fortune teller machines you would see in different arcades or oddities shops. I always loved how they would say very vague things in order to have the customer take what they want from the message.

We started by looking at many different fortune teller machines for the design of the box itself, and the instructions for the character inside were just a basic description of what it was wearing as well as some design elements to have the face look natural yet still like a fortune teller machine!

All that was really left to do was put it in the right place and boom! We have the fortune teller!

Like I said earlier I genuinely think the fortune teller is my favorite character for a lot of reasons. The main one is what it does for the story and the purpose it serves (which you will understand someday soon)

The backstory of this guy is also something that will absolutely be explored in future installments, and boy oh boy am I excited to explore that!
