Very busy since my last update! 😉 F50 GT'96 takes centre stage in today's news.

Ok so..., I have optimised the 3d on the Ferrari F50, the Master and the Online version. I also did some more 3d work to allow for better animations for Acceleration, Brake and Clutch pedals. I improved some metal textures and I will rebuild the VAOs. I also added new, and improved many existing CSP features.

F40 LM Lover has rebuilt all the animations, making them more fluid, realistic and awesome than before. He has even added a new animation for Position Lights!

It's an incredible mod now, a fantastic body of my work and many other talented modders. My friend has helped me make a virtual version of this legendary supercar unlike any other in the world. The experience in VR is just surreal. Release should be this weekend, 10th of June.

Now..., this is where most of the time has gone into! F40 LM Lover has split several 3d objects and prepared them for animations. He's improved the door animations and made fantastic driver animations for everything, just like my F50. Being the generous guy he is, he has also made COCKPIT_LR and LODs for those with lower-end racing simulator rigs. But we will still have the Master version in the release. So the main version will be the mod and the Master will be a maximum quality version for offline virtual racing.

I have done what I usually do, full 3d objects, texture and shaders remaster. I also did a full CSP config remaster. I also made the online version that will be the main mod. I optimised both versions significantly, to reduce 3d object count and materials, just like in my F50. I will build high quality VAOs this week (Yes in those photos that still has not been added, it will look better than that!). Lastly, I added lots of little touches and features that my mods usually have to make this very special indeed.

It's been a great experience working together, learning together, and pushing each other to improve the quality, performance and features of our respective mods. Collaboration flowed with this fine gentleman. 🤝 We'll spend the remaining time testing and looking for any issues. It will be the best version of this GT1 legend in the virtual space to date. F40 LM Lover will aim to release in his Discord and our Facebook Group next weekend, 17th of June.

We were not looking to make the next mod update, we wanted to make dreams come true. Watch this space! ✌️
