Can you tell the difference? No? Good! đ The first photo is of the main mod versions, and the second of the optimised versions! Only in VR and up close is it noticeable. It's a medium optimisation, but still 60-70% less processing power and memory required.
So, I've been very busy and quietly working hard to bring you guys these updates. Significant update to Porsche 911 993 RWB, too many fixes, optimisations, improvements and new features to list, but rest assured, like the Porsche 911 996.2 GT3 (2004) and the Ferrari F50 (1995), it will be something very special. In fact, the other 2 mods have also been reworked along with their optimised versions.
I have also completely reworked the shaders to use VAO on all, apart from main bodywork. This means that actually there is a performance increase on the main versions of 10-20% too. The VAO has been improved using tweaked algorithm and settings, it's also of higher quality now. It takes a fair bit longer to calculate for each car, but it's worth it. đ
This puts these 3 mods into a really good place to be enjoyed for at least a year or two, before I come back to them again. It also sets a good unified standard and process for me to aim for, and follow in all my upcoming updates. It's a crazy amount of work, but I want all my mods to be as good as possible. All 3 updates will be released this weekend, free, unencrypted and public. â
By the way, my next complete rework update is the Alpine A364 F3! I've already started working on it, and it's coming along very well. So look forward to screenshots and progress in the coming weeks. đ
See you at the weekend!
