Hello!
This past few weeks has been quite hectic for us - we wanted to post this earlier but we’re glad to share that our latest toco toco went out last Monday!
For our first video since the Patreon launch, we invested even more of our time and money than usual to shoot in Osaka over the course of two days in order to create a “special” 40+ min episode where we follow Capcom game directors Hideaki Itsuno (Devil May Cry 5) and Yasuhiro Anpo & Kazunori Kadoi (Resident Evil 2 Remake) to discover their stories and inspirations across various places. We hope you enjoy(ed) the result!
So what’s coming next?
We still have to attend work projects on the side in order to be able to maintain the channel financially. However, if everything goes well, here’s what we have planned next for Archipel.
First is the next episode of Hidengen, our series about the board game scene in Japan, which will be centered around three distinct profiles of board game makers in Japan.
One additional project we are pursuing and recently started to shoot is a longer documentary focused on the Dreamcast for its 20th anniversary, where we will gather testimonials from the game directors of some of the console’s top titles.
The toco toco series also continues, with yet another creator profile to be announced soon.
Also, if you’re around for GDC, a screening will be held during the Film Festival, where we will show Ebb and Flow and our toco toco episode on Akiman, scheduled for Monday March 18th, 4:40 PM PST. I will also be attending a Q&A session on stage afterwards.
We look forward to sharing more with you! Thank you for your support.
Alex
