Dear patreons, while we were already at work on the next build, we unveiled a series of issues and crashes and decided to publish this hotfix release which also comes with one new feature which should mostly be of interest for our Intel CPU users out there, Heterogeneous CPU support. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Heterogeneous CPU support
We've implemented a new power profile settings, CPU parking mode, which provides better granular control over CPU scheduling behavior on hybrid architectures: P/E cores (Intel Alder Lake, Raptor Lake, etc.) with following scenarios:
- Gaming or performance-intensive apps: OnlyPCore or AllCoresPrefPCore
- Battery-optimized or background apps: OnlyECore or AllCoresPrefECore
- Balanced/default usage: Default case
What's Changed
Improvements
- Implemented Heterogeneous CPU support, with more granularity control over CPU scheduling behavior on hybrid architectures: P/E cores.
- Improved drivers failsafe logic, which will now properly restore any known controller drivers, if missing, on initialization.
Bugfixes
- Fixed an issue causing a crash when Controller Manager has no target controller available.
- Fixed an issue preventing last plugged external controller from being hooked under certain conditions.
- Fixed an issue preventing OEM keys from being listed on Layout page.
- Fixed an issue causing a crash when foreground window has exclusive fullscreen.
- Fixed an issue causing a crash when display settings events would be called contingently.
- Fixed an issue that prevented Legion Go from being ready when detachable controllers are not connected during initialization.
Known issues
- Slow and random memory leak can occur during long gaming sessions.
- On Lenovo Legion Go, setting fan control to software will freeze the UI.
Comments
Close HC, head to my documents, then handheld companion, then hotkeys folder. There, delete all files which names aren't just numbers. Restart HC.
