The author was looking for a very specific composition to fill the cover, but gave me a nice bit of artistic freedom for the goat design, the bull and the scenary.
Even the original idea had a small loincloth on the goat's butt, but I went with it and kept him naked! XD
Here are the inicial explorations
Each option proposed a different type of nature around the lake, and pose
The the first color pass
And was requested to keep the hues more golden, so the final pic is more lit and yellowish
