Hello Patrons,
Quick update from me - work is underway on the first of two videos that will cover the 1813 campaign in Germany, culminating in the famous 'Battle of the Nations' at Leipzig. This was make-or-break time for Napoleon, as both sides put gigantic armies into the field - about 3x the size of the armies that fought at Austerlitz!
You can see 3 little previews from 'The Road to Leipzig' video - the English cartoon makes fun of Napoleon's shortage of cavalry, which became a serious problem for him in 1813. Another image shows where he found the troops with which to rebuild the Grande ArmΓ©e, and the third shows Prussian King Frederick William III and his 'An Mein Volk!' proclamation (To My People!), calling on the Germans to rise up and fight for their honour - this was the moment the so-called 'War of German Liberation' began.
This is a complex episode with virtually all of Europe on the march! So it may be a little delayed, but hope to share exclusive early access on Patreon in early Feb.
Thank you all again for your support, and have a great weekend!
Toby
