Getting Back to Tales of Zale

Attached are some shots from a scene from Tales of Zale I've had the chance to work on for the past week or so. What really gave me a boost was that I got back some rough shots from a classmate of mine, Poul Niclasen whom I'd "typecast" for some animation on Bruhn the buffalo in the upcoming episode. After having cleaned up one of those shots I just couldn't stop myself, as you can see above.
I've been wanting to get back to Tales of Zale for a while, and I think I'm in a place right now where I can comfortably do so until more business requires my attention. Another thing that really did it for me was that I finally had a revelation of the change I wanted to make to the current animatic. It's been feeling slightly off for me for a while, and now I've finally got what feels like the last piece of the puzzle. Now I just need some time and some willpower to tear myself away from the animation to do some last storyboards. Either way things are going forward.
I feel like I can more appreciate the kind of freedom I have with a project like ToZ after everything else I've been doing these past months. Thank you very much for all of your kind support and patience... That being said you probably shouldn't expect the new episode to come out anytime soon, there's still a long way to go!
