Clean-up Update #2

Dear Patrons,

We've made it through another month! This one felt like it went by very quickly. I've started working on the episode from Nørlum's offices rather than from home, which really is a relief. There, I'm joined by Giorgos, who's going to be interning for the next 1,5 months helping me with clean-up. You can see some of his, my own and others' work in this little update clip where I've compiled clean-up progression. A few shots you already saw in the last update, but I wanted to add them in to give an idea of the overall sequence's progression. To make things a bit easier, I've credited people who worked on the different shots in the lower right corner this time around. Anything that's not credited, whether it be clean-up, rough animation or backgrounds is done by myself. It's a big collaboration at this point, and I'm really enjoying this process!

I can't wait to show you what we've been doing with the interns on the visual development either. I think the earliest I'd be able to show something would be after we've sent off the application at the end of August (if the studio allows), but although it might take a while I'm really looking forward to it. I want to show you a compilation of all the pages upon pages of notes I've been writing as well, just to give you an idea of how much iteration goes into this process. But one thing at a time.

I'm still trying to livestream at least about once a week, though it depends a lot on whether or not I'm working on a shot I can multitask with. It's very cozy, so do feel free to keep an eye out for it on my YouTube channel!

I've been working with the compositing artist Bernardo to get a first shot finished to create a base for the rest of the scene. Now that that's done I think I can make another little making-of video taking you all through the process of a single shot. So look forward to that in the coming week!

Till next time,

- Sif
