Regarding the idea of seeing Miss Piggy's head in the box at the end of Se7en, we never see a head in the box in that movie, we're just told that's what's in the box. David Fincher has talked about how this is an example of the Mandela Effect, where people remember seeing the head in the box even though it's never shown.

What if you remade Showgirls except the only Muppet is Elizabeth Berkeley’s character.

Brian Deaton

The Muppets: Get Out. Keep Daniel Kaluuya

David Jones

The correct answer to the Muppet question is Hereditary - keep Toni Collette. Kermit is the son, Miss Piggy is the Daughter, Fozzie Bear is the father, Rizzo the Rat is the witchy lady played by Ann Dowd, and Pepe the Prawn is the dead grandma.

I can tell Jeff why the 9th and 10th "Friday the 13th" movies are so named. New Line purchased the franchise from Paramount after the disastrous "Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan", but they did not get the rights to the actual name "Friday the 13th". Hence "Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday" and "Jason X".

Richard Doyle

Keep Simon Pegg in Shaun of the Dead, everyone else as muppets!

Hugh E. Root

It's a bummer we've had movies that were officially titled as being part of the "Fast Saga" but none that are part of the "Furious Saga".

Across the Spiderverse did the exact thing Jeff suggested would be a baller move for Wicked. There was no mention of part one in the marketing or title card in the movie, but then ended on a cliffhanger. I discovered later that Beyond the Spiderverse was announced already but I had completely missed that, so the “to be continued” was a total shock in the theater!

What would be nice is a time stamp for when spoilers is over. If I haven’t seen the movie I stop at the spoilers section and then scrub around to find where you say what the next movie will be.

It's not just the wrong words, it's also sometimes the syllables within a single word. He has a tendency to sometimes emphasize the first syllable when your average person would usually emphasize the second or third. WOLverine, instead of WolveRINE, etc.

My recollection of the Dune: Part One situation is that WB was wary and didn’t want to commit to even making a second film until they had a surer sense that the first one was going to be a success, especially during early post-pandemic times. They didn’t want to imply the promise of a second film that might never come. If the movie had looked like it would be a money-loser they would have just called it off and stuck with the singular title. But when they had a clearer sense that they had a winner, they scheduled the second film and added “Part One” to the title (which was only at the very end I believe, right after Chani says “this is only the beginning).

Dave keeps stressing the wrong words. The WIZARD of Oz. It’s the Wizard of OZ. It’s funny and I like it by why is no one else noticing this? He does it a lot.

David Esposito

Home Alone, Keep Culkin, and the Wet Bandits are Bert and Ernie.

Grant Cosper

Question for the group: does anyone else, like me, listen to the episode here on Patreon up until the review (weekly plugs included!), then go to Youtube to watch the review, and then come back to listen to the after review banter to finish out the episode?

Brian Lefevre

If we’re keeping Willem Dafoe in all the movies what do you do with Poor Things? I guess no matter what he WOULD be the least kinky choice to keep. Any other substitution is getting awfully close to furries category.

Dave Epp

Omg, I didn’t realize I was not the only one that felt this way. But, nothing should come after the spoiler section of the review. I watch less than half of the movies that y’all review, so if you put something after the spoiler I will rarely ever get to listen to it. And when I do, it’s often months after the podcast has been released when I finally got to see the movie.

Danny Champlin

Jeff saying that using the smoker is on hiatus sure shows the difference between Americans and Canadians. Winter doesn’t stop us from doing anything. I mean, what, are we just to live all our lives in the 3 months it‘s not winter. 😃

Dave Epp

John Wick, keep Keanu.

Seth Offenberger

I think it would be hilarious if Fast X: Part 1 was followed by Furious X: Part 2.

Peter Behravesh

Crushing to hear the lack of debate for moving the next up info to the portion of the show you’re trying to have people stop skipping because it’s best at the end of the show so people don’t skip that, despite the understanding many listen to the end many weeks later. Sigh but cool, jokes. :)

Dan Cameron

Thank God It’s Filmcast! My new TGIF baybeeeeeee!

This Clayface movie is such a brilliant idea - and bringing Flanagan in is perfect. There aren't many villain-led movies that make sense. Clayface is one of those rare cases. I still don't even think Joker works as his own story - Clayface works on every level: tragedy, VFX, and another rare instance of a comic book character making way more sense for a live action rendition than an on-the-page exclusive character.
