Can't watch 500 million episodes of Movie Club without making a few enemies. This week we cover the movie Rocco had to convince Shawn to watch 2 times "The Social Network" How do we feel about a movie about Facebook in 2024? Let's all find out together.
The ominous score/lighting/cinematography in this movie about a seemingly-benign social media service is definitely how I felt every day between like 2003 and 2008. I can't imagine the horrors a sequel of post-2010 would show.

probably my biggest complaint with this movie. I think it could have worked as a story with no "good" guys though that's definitely harder to pull off. Eduardo Saverin is definitely not the naive trusting guy Garfield portrays him as.

Worth pointing out the entire story is from Eduardoβs side. They do a good job making him look good when heβs a shady guy himself.

My well-known, well-documented love of billionaires is being challenged by this thoughtful, inciteful movie review.
But seriously this movie hit at a time when I was developing my own tastes (including finding Mega64) and it remains a classic if only for that reason. Soundtrack unreal.

I went to a high school on a college campus, and we had our own college e-mails, so we got to be on FB early.
