Pollstar Entries: AEW [Albany, NY], WWE [Buffalo, NY], WWE [Brooklyn, NY]
Added 2024-12-24 16:04:22 +0000 UTCAs a quick reminder, the figures provided below represent paid attendance. I've included my recorded attendance alongside their entry (if I have one). The variance between the two figures (paid vs. mine) reflects an estimated comp figure. It's noteworthy that it's quite rare for my recorded figures to fall below the paid numbers reported by Pollstar but it happens from time to time. Also, it's worth noting that the capacity figure below does not necessarily represent the actual capacity of the building, but rather what has been opened in most cases.
11/14/2024
All Elite Wrestling
MVP Arena - Albany, NY
Tickets Sold: 1,761
Capacity: 2,288
Ticket Price: $20 - $80
Calculated Average Ticket Sold: $40.77
USD Gross: $71,791
My estimate: 2,425 (27% in comps). A significant number of comps contributed to the difference. This event was expected to be a tough sell (Collision in Albany didn’t look promising on paper). With a gate number like that in this sized building, it’s uncertain if we’ll see them return to this market anytime soon unless they find a smaller building.

11/08/2024
World Wrestling Entertainment
KeyBank Center - Buffalo, NY
Tickets Sold: 12,256
Capacity: 12,969
Ticket Price: $30 - $210
Calculated Average Ticket Sold: $72.47
USD Gross: $888,235
My estimate: 12,938 (5% in comps)

10/25/2024
World Wrestling Entertainment
Barclays Center - Brooklyn, NY
Tickets Sold: 12,391
Capacity: 12,391
Ticket Price: $40 - $750
Calculated Average Ticket Sold: $125.07
USD Gross: $1,549,696
My estimate: 11,482. Big gate! The higher total for the paid number likely indicates a significant number of suites were sold. Suites are not included in my estimates because they are often very challenging to account for accurately. This difference is consistent with the last Pollstar Brooklyn entry compared to my number. In the future, I may add a note for Brooklyn shows indicating what the paid total could be.

When we see the number of comps aew did and wwe did, it is same 700 But the capacity for wwe was huge and aew was less

2024-12-24 16:48:54 +0000 UTCI remember folks over Twitter demand fairness since AEW keeps getting “mistreated” with real count from sources outside of Tix and now they got it for WWE, only for them to flex harder. Whoops?

2024-12-24 16:46:53 +0000 UTCI believe 70k for the MVP arena would entirely cost them for rent + stage set. As Brandon Thurston said in 2023, they are compensating these losses because of tv deal.

2024-12-24 16:31:15 +0000 UTCBecause of them not treating collision as their A show

2024-12-24 16:26:44 +0000 UTCThe MVP Arena can do 8k for wrestling and AEW sold just 1,760? 😬😬😬
