Dynamite will be fine and will probably end up being close to a sell out. Collision is the show they have to worry about. But they need promotion here ASAP. AEW has badly fumbled their Detroit return

We were given two huge matches on our first two visits (B&G, Omega-Mox cage match), so it would be nice to get "something" big for either this Dynamite or Collision. They've hardly promoted the Detroit shows during broadcasts, so I'm guessing that they will start ramping up with this week's Collision? What concerns me is that they start loading up on all those branded specials the very next week in Chicago. Feels like we're getting the short end of the stick, which really sucks since it has been like two years. However... I have heard there may be a "local surprise" planned, whatever that means.

Its an above average first count, it'll do well enough. I'm concerned for the Collision.

Will

Waiting 2 years to go back was a mistake in hindsight. 2K isnt a bad # at all with 2 weeks to go. They should be able to get over 3k. Collision is the bigger issue.

I try not to base my opinions on what people say on here as it’s pretty hyperbolic in general regardless of where people stand. I think it’s a good first count even if it’s only 14 days away. I predict the rest of the seats will be gone but I obviously might be wrong. As for Collision, they really need to stop running buildings on back to back days as they’re simply not hot enough (tickets wise) to do that right now.

Hazem Abdo

The last count got me startled like crazy until I saw the last arena location.

James

And the show is 2 weeks away. It's not a typical first count of a show that's more than a month away

Hazem I think it's because this chat has been talking non stop about how much Detroit deserved a show and how big of a crowd they would have. Then when this small arena was announced a lot of people thought it would sell out quickly. The Collision the day after is really bad

ItsNotThatSerious

Why are people saying this is a bad number? I think it’s a good first count, I still expect them to sell this out

Hazem Abdo

Pricing issue? Lack of sales due to WWE show in July? Surprised this wasn't an instant sellout based on how much demand there seemed to be for them to come back.

Jason

Yea it is a big disappointment for sure

Seymour Butts

Kind of disappointed in this number considering how long it's been since Detroit got an AEW show
