My name is FamilyJules7x and I've made a Patreon to help support my long continuing career of arranging video game music for guitar on my YouTube channel. I've been giving away my covers for free for the past 6 years and now that I've made a move to make this my full time work, I'm asking for a little bit of help from you guys who want to support what I do!
It's getting to the point where I can no longer provide my music for free and when looking into licensing my covers and medleys, especially for medleys, licensing some of my over 200 video game arrangements for iTunes and other stores could actually cost me money and I would see none of the money people spend on the song. For example my first medley ever, my Goldeneye 64 medley, has too many songs and would cost more in royalties, license fees and Loudr.fm's cut to even see any money since the max I can charge for the medley on iTunes is $1.29.
Patreon will allow me to go through with making my covers available with no worries and I can consistently make my work available to you legally! This as well as let me dedicate more and more time to making covers since I've been posting less frequently lately.
For becoming my patron, you will only be charged every time I release a new video. This means that you will only be paying if I keep working! If you pledge more than the minimum, you will get really cool perks I've set up. I'm really excited to share unreleased covers, blooper videos and use Skype and Google Hangout to chat with you guys more and you can get all this by being my Patron.
As of writing this I have already reached my first two stretch goals but the next few include making a 10 video series on Music Theory, a huge 15+ person video game arrangement, and even a cover of the infamous Crazy Bus theme! If you guys can get me to $1500 per video game guitar video, I can afford to hire someone to make a tab book of my work as well!
