About improving life

Today there will be some personal observations.

The more I try to understand my feelings, analyze them, understand the causes and consequences of something, it becomes easier for me to cope with those tasks that were not easy for me before. I understand that I have not made any global discovery in this area, but in my personal perception of the world, such things feel like insights that help me understand myself, the reasons for my anxieties and experiences, which I have become a little better at coping with.

For example, it is difficult for me to be in a company of more than four people (including myself) and if this limit is exceeded, I feel very uncomfortable and strive to find a quiet place as soon as possible where I can be alone for a long time and relax. I have a very low social battery capacity and quickly become sensory overloaded. What I do about it now: When there is social interaction in a group, I try to intentionally, but not against the will, increase my interest in whatever topic these people are discussing. And it works well, it became a little easier for me to communicate, I began to get out of the house more often :)

Walking down a city street on a sunny day and at the same time having a dialogue with my partner, for example, after about 20 minutes I feel exhausted. What solution did I find for myself: put on headphones, without music, just to slightly muffle the sounds from outside and still hear the interlocutor. I also plan to buy sunglasses to reduce the impact of sunlight on my perception of the world around me.

I didn't realize before that ordinary things could cause me sensory overload, but once I started to figure it out in my head, I realized it and try to find solutions to make my life easier. This is greatly helped by my ability to focus very strongly on one thing, at which point the rest seems to be muffled and falls out of my perception.

This is how I gradually try to make my life better.

There are a lot of difficulties in my head, but it seems to me that I can work through as many of them as possible.

Glad to see you're finding more and more ways to deal with sensory overload. Self-analysis can be quite useful in making you more comfortable in life. Noise-cancelling headphones and earphones are a life-saver, my commute would drive me insane without them.
