Great video, it made me think of my problem with pornography, an issue that has spanned for nearly a decade. I think you're right about how it came about with the intention of keeping me safe despite not being the best. This changes how I view it and i think it will help with my recovery. Thank you.

Ima keep this more simple. The mind of your body is the one who is more active. It's usually always trying to take over your mind. The real you, the actual mind tries to protect you and. The body. It's like a coach. People dont realize the bad voice or critical is actually them. They think they're the mind of the body. Once you're more self aware of what you truly are you'll begin to realize you're the mind that needs to keep your body's mind and emotions under control. Your mind is the reasonable part for a reason if you want you can also talk about that in a video. If anyone wanna message me (if possible) my email is tonyreactor7@gmail.com

I liked the criticism on the self-help industry. Finally someone pointed that out. :D
The propositions fit very well with Jordan Peterson's ideas:
In small chunks you can alter what you believe to be true and gradually create a more accurate mental map of the world. If you change too much in a too short period of time, your entire mental representation of the world falls apart, which leads to emotional disregulation. Because you don't know what is true anymore, you prepare for everything. A little bit of change is called growing and feels exciting. Too much change is anxiety provoking, dangerous and heavily exhausting. Ever had a serious crisis? Densely packed problems involuntary enforced on you will force you to rapidly grow out of that and that is a very painful process.
The notion that self-doubt protects the mental map that brought you to this point in time and consequently prevents emotional disregulation makes a lot of sense.

15:47 no mate, you are way up the food chain on these topics, almost a mini Richard Grannon. Keep doing it, and don't let doubts creep in about your abilities..

A fantastic fantastic book that talks about how the ego leads to self sabotage is , "Ego is the Enemy" by Ryan Holiday. I STRONGLY recommend it for anyone with an ego problem. For the most part guys are driven by their ego and this is the source of self-sabotage espaically as relates to AG's points in the video. They directly or indirectly link back to that book.
I keep re-reading parts of that book every now and then. It's almost become my Bible. Usually I order soft copies of books and just read them on my iPad or Kindle but this one, I had to have a hard bound hardcopy.

Yes that is the sin of pride. Generally held as the greatest of vices. Sometimes defined as having a false perception of the self. Other times this is taken to be the rout of pride instead
