2020-10-02 02:16:20 +0000 UTCYo, that shit was unsettling af. You guys really went to work on this, the close ups were inventive, the editing was sporadic, but never in way that was unwarranted. Every shot had style and purpose. The direction felt so sharp, like holy shit the way you changed lighting with the smash of a bulb. Frencesco Di Maio’s dedication to the role of The Plumber paid off big time. Every tiny inflection, tweak of the eyebrow, stutter of the lip, was unyielding as a viewer. Frencesco disappeared and all I could see was a bloody nutter who could flip at any moment. It’s been a long while since I’ve been this horrified by a character and that’s in large part due to that performance, fr. Oh and big up Josh Bullock on Sound Design! I don’t think the horror would have been the same if I wasn’t so shocked by how extreme the violence felt. Can we also talk about the misé-en-scene people, the Plumber’s place in particular. You guys are all growing so much as filmmakers, and it’s rewarding as a viewer, but also as a fan who wants to see you guys succeed in your dreams. Big Up the whole crew! ✌🏽
