I am not dead.
Unfortunately, the computer I've had for about five years finally committed sudoku last week and I was forced to retire it. I managed to save everything I could, so here we are. The NEW computer came in yesterday and I spent a good amount of time patching things up in that regard.
So, where are we?
We are working on The Saga of Blood, Iron, and Soil, perhaps a foolish attempt at creating a game all about ICELAND and the struggles they had there. "Notepad, aren't there OTHER Icelandic Saga RPGs out there?" Yes! And most of them focus entirely on the Saga Era (874-1000 ADish) rather than the full picture.
They are also mostly things like PbtA or Narrative Puppet Play Games, so I hate those.
The goal is to tell an epic from 874 to 1262, a chronicle of the men, women, and children of your family, your farm, and your legacy on a fascinating piece of land and history. And being VIKINGS, because Vikings are cool.
Our progress has been temporarily stalled, but we're continuing out walk toward absolution and the end of my Mercenary Days (tm). Hire me Mr. Company Man, I'll write anything for dosh.
