Can you all screen this video for me?

I wanted to try something different with my time off today and made this video about the copyright strike I just received for my last video on odd times.

It's not the sort of video I normally make and I'm not ready to throw it out there to 80,000 people. I was hoping I could get your honest reactions to it first.

Thanks so much!

With that out of the way, please enjoy this creatively remixed video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RZwM3GvaTRM (that survived all the attempts to strike it into non-existence).

This is all new to me as I just started patreon-izing you. However, I have a long history with this subject. Your arguments are sensible at first blush, but the real first blush was back in the early 2000s. Creative Commons was founded as part of a response to the ways in which the music and film industries abused their ends of the copyright bargain. YouTube was a newcomer (in 2005) and by 2007, things were well out of hand. Here's a guide to best practices and/or the state of the art: https://blog.frame.io/2017/08/30/copyrights-and-fair-use-for-filmmakers/. You don't have to re-invent the wheel. You just need to know that there are many, many people and organizations with whom you can make common cause, and, hopefully, move the needle enough for your purposes.
