Early Release for Patrons only! Acoustic Fingerstyle tab + music.

I've finished a new track! I'm posting it here for you all before I film the music video and get it distributed through iTunes and Spotify. It's called Acreage, it's a happy and sunny spring-timey song. I started writing it several months ago but have been fine-tuning it for quite a while till I could get it to this point.

I've attached the music and tab for this song. Notation isn't my strong suit, so if anyone sees some errors or improvements they could make to the music please let me know. Also, since this isn't uploaded to iTunes yet, there's still time to make changes to the mix before it goes public. Also let me know if any of you would enjoy a patreon-only video for this song, whether it be a lesson on how to play the parts, or how it was written. I (like most musicians) adore talking about my own music and will take any excuse to do so =]

To briefly describe it, it's a piece in G major that feels like 12/8, or 4/4 with lots of triplets and a swing. To me 4/4 is easier to read, so that's how I notated it. Most of the song is diatonic to G with the exception of an A/C# chord in the verse, which functions as a secondary dominant (V/V) to get us to our V.

Our secondary section has a descending bass that includes our root, b7, 6, and b6. It doesn't quite make it down to the perfect 5th though, and instead snaps up to our IV chord and then to our V.  I think of this section as a bit of borrowing from the parallel minor... Lastly it's worth mentioning there's quite a bit of hemiola (2:3) in this song.

So if you can, take a listen! And if you have time, give me some feedback if anything sounds out of place to you in the mix (too much reverb, not enough, etc).

My next lesson video is going to be on setting up your electric guitar tones on your PC, should be wrapped up in a few days, then after that I have a composition-based video for this month as well.

This is super wonderful and pleasant.

Good timing- my next video (posts on tuesday) will be on ampsim vsts and effects/tone crafting. Hopefully it answers some questions but just lemme know afterwards if you're still confused!

Totally off topic but can you do a video on guitar amp and effects modeling software? What you use, how to set up and the speaker to use?
