Posting this at a weird time due to a synchronization accident :P. Here's two "simple" exercises from India that will probably melt your mind. Don't expect to play them today, but make a point to learn them over time. Eventually the concepts might make their way into your music, as I demonstrate here with Ben Levin!
This, to me, is about as fun as a music lesson can get. We do something destructively hard, go over it with several different methods, but then directly translate the idea into something musical. Working with Ben is an absolute treat, his art style is extremely potent and resonates DEEPLY with me, so it was a true privilege to see and hear his stuff in my own lesson. I hope you all subscribe to him, I promise you'll find his lessons to be inspiring and will open up production/composing/creation strategies for you!
