Stuff that I am doing - 02/02/18

Lotta stuff happened over the last couple of weeks, least of which was that I had a cold so I couldn't get any recording done because my voice sounds weird. I could feel it coming on on Sunday night so I thought "shit I have to get this Last Adventure review recorded before my voice gets totally fucked" and I managed it which I'm really pleased with.

Anyway, important news: I'm getting another story in an anthology! yaaaay woooo!! Its the one I told you guys about last year about the end credits of humanity scrolling across the sky and mankind collectively wondering what it means and failing to do anything about for decades. Its gonna be in this book of political horror stories from this small publisher in the US. Money's tiny again, but one of my goals this year is to get a few more things like this under my belt, if I have a list of like four or five publications that've taken my stories then I'll be a bit more interesting when I start sending queries and samples round to prospective agents. (I've also been told that twitter-stalking potential agents is a good idea.... may have to make some sort of video about that)

I was going to do a Let's Watch shit TV toward the end of January but I ended up having to cancel it midway through recording. It was Made in Chelsea and I thought it'd be easy piss-take fodder but I didn't count on just HOW boring Made in Chelsea is. Its literally impossible to pay attention to it. I had to cancel it halfway through cause I was like "duuuum shud I eat my toenails lol?" felt like I was getting dumber by the minute, my brain was just bleeding out of my ears. So yeah, having to cancel TV Dissection on that because its the emptiest thing ever, like even for shit TV it was so far beneath contempt and there was less than nothing to say about it. So yeah, I'll find something else to make a let's watch shit TV about soon to make up for it.

Also I got my cat this week. Cleo's settled in really well, forgot how much I like having a cat in the house, haven't had one since I was a kid. Expect her to appear in a video with the Living Flesh Supercomputer at some stage.

In other news: I've seen a near-complete version of Class#7, the one I've been telling you about that's been animated by someone else. Might as well announce it now: its Harry Robins, the guy behind that wonderfully grotesque title sequence from last year. Its a wildly different video but I was fucking blown away by it, he's easily one of my favourite Youtube animators and I can tell he's gonna go far in the industry one day if he can put something like this together in his spare time. He asked me if I wanted any help with animating not long after I put the school nurse together so I sent him the script I was thinking needed something more ambitious to go with it and he leapt at the idea. So yeah: expect that sooner rather than later. (I'm really gonna have to pull my socks up on Class#8 now...thanks for that Harry :p)

Anyway, I should probably tell you about February plans shouldn't I? Okay, I've got four videos planned:

Next thing I'm working on is a review of USS Callister from Black Mirror season 4. I've written the script, I'm probably gonna work on pictures for this and my next few videos until my voice totally recovers from this cold (fingers crossed by the end of the weekend)

Following that I'm gonna work on a little skit for Valentine's day that just came to me this week.

And for the remainder of the month I've got a He Who Moans on that animated version of Shada that got released recently because people want me to talk about that for some reason. 

Also have written the script for my next TV Dissection, which is gonna be about the News....yes I'm going there. I do hate being a grown up sometimes because you start caring about world events and just how depressing they are. I miss being an irresponsible teenager who didn't give a shit about the news. I've just been itching to do something about it lately and TV Dissection's meant to be about popular fixtures of the TV schedules that's regular conversation throughout the nation (ooh I'm a poet and didn't knowit) and the news over the last couple of years has become more talked about than any TV show so it kinda makes sense to do it.
