Stuff that I am doing - 03/08/18

Hi everyone

I shoved everything to one side and just worked at Class 8 this week because I felt like it. (Working title is "The New Headmaster".)

(I'll probably start work on my next HWM this week at some stage (doing that editorial cause its easier, I'm putting off more Bigfinish atm cause it takes longer)

I've decided to approach Class 8 a bit differently and I've decided I'm gonna draw, v/o, soundtrack and finish a scene before getting started on the next one. I tend to start beating myself up if I haven't finished a video for ages and since these take time, I think I'll feel more accomplished if I start working at Class scene by scene. There's only about 7 or 8 scenes in this one, so I think its do-able by about early september if I continue working at this rate. Though I am still thinking I may need to release this and 9 back to back over Halloween as they do kinda work in tandem with one another.

Yeah!! Wooo!!! Hooray Stuart you animated some monster feet!! Yeah as you can see I'm putting my...well, I was gonna say I'm putting my whole arse in this time round but that would imply my usual stuff is at the very least half-arsed when I'd call it more quarter-arsed animation....okay, Class 8 will be at the very least half-arsed animation.

Next update blog: I might have footage of someone moving their arm a bit.

I haven't just done some feet moving for the record, I've done about 150 frames, I just thought I'd throw that together to show y'all what I'm doing, that and I don't wanna give too much away. 

There is a monster in the next class, oooo spoilers.

One thing I've been thinking of experimenting with is making every frame transparent and sticking a real world photo in as the background, that might either make it look exta surreal and uncanny or just complete fucking shit, it could go either way at this early stage.

I'll post more updates and test footage here in the coming weeks, see what you think.

Anyway, I've been thinking about posting random tiny videos on my channel to fill the time until I'm making full massive videos with effort and everything. I've been having fun posting short weird off the cuff tweets recently so I might evolve that into easy videos. Idk, I just worry that staying inactive lowers my place in the algorithms. I'm going to see my Mum's kittens next week, I could take my camera and film them (the internet still likes cats right?)

Um, in other news, I had another short story idea I've started playing about with about a guy who volunteers at a local radio station in a little English countryside village called "Strange Sounds" that broadcasts weird long drony noises that sound like they were recorded in another dimension. The radio presenters can pronounce the names of the songs but he can't, so they decide he has to have surgery on his throat so he can pronounce the names of the songs. I've sort of styled it like my Class videos, its a setting that looks familiar, but acts strange and alien. That and I white noise keeps showing up in my stories, I think I've been listening to too much industrial and power electronics over the last year or so (power electronics for the record is a genre of music which features loud harsh noises and people screaming expletives for about fifteen minutes. I listen to it on my commutes. I find it soothing.)
