IMPORTANT: Rewards changing (again)

I really hope you're doing well. This panda is back to working, with more motivation and inspired than ever. Thanks a lot for all your support, it's something I appreciate a really lot. Thanks for being part of this amazing clubhouse.

I'm always nervous to update rewards on tiers but now I'm very confident you all understand very well why I do this, but as always I want to make everything so clear, because a good communication always work to keep having a good environment and a lot of confidence, and I couldn't be more confident with all of you who have been supporting me month by month.

I'm especially nervous this time because I know it was not long time ago that I had modified the rewards on some tiers. But I also want to explain why I'm doing this, before describing what are those changes.

My Goal.

When I created Patreon, I had a major goal, that is fulltime working on art, and even have time to work on my own projects (more comics, illustrated books, big illustrations...), on my own hobbies (fursuiting and making videos), and of course keep doing what I love what to do the most, that is drawing and painting. 

I'm about to reach that goal thanks to all your support. And I can't be so happy for that, but I also need an extra help from you to achieve this, and keep painting many smiles on each one of you and all the people who see my creations all over the world.

Overworking is not healthy.

I was doing something wrong here on Patreon. I remember an artist friend checked my Patreon rewards back in 2016, when I decided to open an acoount here, and he told me "you're being very generous, and that's not something precisely good, you won't want to overwork yourself, Patreon is supposed to free you from overwork and be able to work on your own projects" and he was so right. 

So each time I was trying to reduce rewards just like guessing what could be right or how I can work less. Because I can tell you something, I definitely don't want to stop drawing for all of you, I've never complained about making pieces for you as rewards, for me it is very satisfactory that...after you're helping me to make my dream come true, that you can have a piece by me, and knowing how happy you get after this, and even all who have showed me how they frame my pieces on their houses, or send them to print them on a canvas, that's very rewarding for me as well, so I will never stop offering drawings and illustrations as rewards for all of you, I really consider you deserve them and I'll keep doing them with lot of love.

But it was true I was trying to be incredibly generous, and that was killing me a little bit.

So this time, and thanks to my friend Kazan who helped me to plan the rewards on each tier so much better with the help of maths and logic.

I realized that all my "Sketches" were not looking as sketches anymore, because again, I was wanting to be generous, but my generosity was killing me, those were looking more as what I consider as "Flat Color" (even if the colors are not real flat, I blend them a little bit so they look like a full illustration but simpler), and I was taking ages on each "sketch" I was doing. So it was necessary to divide what is exactly a sketch for me, and what is a flat color illustration, and I will explain that in the next headland.

But I wanted to point on this part that how hard I was pushing myself to make a sketch looking good, that I was, again, overworking, because the maths that we made were kind of shocking:

In total, I had to do 193 color illustrations a year, that was crazily a lot, that means I had to be doing 16 flat color illustrations per month, which it was something I couldn't achieve a month, not even only working on Patreon and nothing else. And also I had to do 27 full color illustrations a year, that means 3 per month (when I only can advance around 2 per month) and that's why I'm keep working on illustrations I had to have done on 2019.

But now with new changes, I'm gonna work on 74 real Sketches (that means only 6 a month, and those are very quick to do for me), 45 flat color illustrations a year (so only 4 per month) and 17 full color illustrations a year (only 2 per month), that means less work, more enjoyment doing them, not stressting for having very delayed works (That some of you have told me when I finally start working on your illustration "oh I had forgotten I had requested you that!" heehee)

Differences on rewards.

This is important to explain even for being clear to myself, because as many of you could see, I had no idea what was the difference between a "sketch" and a "flat color illustration", they were kind the same. But for my own good, I need to make clear what is what.

And you can always request me to make any of these in traditional or digital, if 1 or 2 characters, remember we can always negotiate if you want for your reward a 3rd, 4th, 5th.... character. And that your request needs to be completely SFW.

Sketches: It may be traditional or digital, I can add some colors if its needed, but I really consider even on gray scales they may look so beautiful.

Flat Color: Also can be traditional or digital. Very simple backgrounds but always trying to make them look amazing, caring of the composition of shapes and colors. I almost always make flat shadings for them, and sometimes I blend them. Characters include outline.

Full Color: Traditional or digital. A deepest study to lighting and composition, adding details on textures and backgrounds.

Rewards changes on each tier.

Now that we know this, it is time to present you how I changed the rewards on each tier. Remember that if you any doubt, concern, question, advice about my decisions and my changes, you can contact me and I'm very open minded.

I'm just gonna describe drawing rewards, you know each one of you who are supporting with more than $3 have access to the Clubhouse Telegram Group and the full resolution versions of my drawings each 15 days, that hasn't changed

Zoo Level ($5 per month)

-Sketch once a year, after 12 months supporting me.. So nothing changed on your tier.

Monochromatic Level ($8 per month)

Okay so I have some issues with this tier, it is the tier were more people is supporting me, but the difference between Zoo and Monochromatic Levels are only $3, it is really difficult to offer you more things than the Zoo Level, so I need to reduce it to exactly the same rewards. I know it's very unfair but I really don't know what I was thinking when I created so many levels when I opened Patreon.

I know you will understand this decision, and I even encourage you to downgrade your level to $5 instead because it would be fair. But you can remain on this level, of course, if you want to give me an extra, I'll take the extra $3 you're giving me as extra-love n__n (I love you, guys!). So rewards on your level are changed to:

-Sketch once a year, after 12 months supporting me.

Bamboo Level ($15 per month)

-Flat color illustration (or badge), once a year, after 12 months supporting me.

Fruitcake Level ($20 per month)

-Sketch once a year, after your 6th month supporting me. This means... when you get 6 months supporting me here on Patreon, I'll do a sketch for you, and the next one will be exactly a year later.

-Flat color illustration (or badge), once a year, after 12 months supporting me.

Giant Panda Level ($30 per month)

-Flat color illustration (or badge), TWICE a year, first time after the 6th month, second time after 12 months supporting me.

-Clubhouse T-shirt (fullfilled by Patreon)

Oreo Bear Level ($50 per month)

-Sketch, once a year, after the 4th month supporting me. This means... when you get 4 months supporting me here on Patreon, I'll do a sketch for you, and then the next one will be exactly a year later.

-Full Color illustration, once a year, after 12 months supporting me.

-3 Telegram stickers, twice a year, first time after the 6th month, second time after 12 months supporting me.

-Clubhouse T-shirt and poster (fullfilled by Patreon)

Ailuropoda Melanoleuca Level ($80 per month)
For those who are here for rewards and to throw a lot of love to this panda n__n

-Sketch, TWICE a year, on your 4th and 12th month supporting me

-Flat color illustration (or badge), once a year, after the 8th month supporting me. This means... when you get 8 months supporting me here on Patreon, I'll do a flat color illustration for you, and then the next one will be exactly a year later.

-Full color illustration, once a year, after 12 months supporting me.

-4 telegram stickers, twice a year, first time after the 6th month, second time after 12 months supporting me.

Duuuuude Level ($100 per month)
For those who are here for LOTS of rewards to a point I'm scared D: (but thank you)

-Sketch, TWICE a year, on your 3rd and 9th month supporting me.

-Flat color illlustration (or badge), TWICE a year, on your 6th and 12th month supporting me.

-Full color illustration, after 12 months supporting me.

-4 telegram stickers, THRICE a year, on your 4th, 8th and 12th month supporting me.

-Clubhouse T-Shirt and poster (fullfilled by Patreon)

Conclusion

I would understand if you disagree with changes I made, I will also understand if you want to downgrade your tier (or even leave Patreon) after this, but I really want to make things better for me and for all of you, who are mainly to deserve to be spoiled by me n__n And I really don't wnat to make you wait an eternity for your reward to be ready, I feel bad when I realize that you wanted a certain picture for a birthday present, for Christmas, for a specific date, and when I finally get to work on it, it's already late. My ideal goal is to keep working on rewards for all of you, to work on the rewards from the same month that you request them, and to be able to have time to work on my own projects, and even to spend more time with all of you, we need more Jackbox Party days, but I've felt I have lot of work lately that it's hard for me to know when I could do it.

These changes are gonna start applying immediately on September. ALL your rewards that you had and I haven't started working on them are remaining the same, you're gonna receive them, even those on my Trello board on the list "Haven't told me what they want", you can still request me what you want.
