Art & Biro: To the Adventure / Trickster Tom / Strange WIP

It has been such a crazy time full of things to do and not giving myself a little break, usually this time of the year is the one that I get the busiest, and I'm to a point that I'm wanting to change that.

As same as I had to force myself to start the Art & Biro comic, no matter what, I should also force myself to stop having so many commitments, especially one that I've been doing for years. And I hope it marks a before and an after on my life, so I can go back to focus completely on my projects, on my illustration, on making more people happy with funny animal drawings. (Also on keep making my D&D campaign, dang I got very into that!)

Here are the drawings I got to work on this week. I also worked on a project that I want to leave secret so far, but next month you will see it before anyone else. And I'm also working on another illustration that sadly I can't show advances, since it is for a company. But I got for your this time a finished piece, a sketch for my D&D campaign, and a WIP:

Art & Biro: To the Adventure!

Art and Biro, the adventurous raccoon and fox duo, are setting sail once again! They’re aboard their ship, ready to explore uncharted islands and embark on new adventures.

If, for some reason, you haven’t read the first chapter of their comic, now is the perfect time to dive in! Head over to www.artbirocomic.com to join the journey.
And it is the perfect time to advertise that the comic is also for sale as a physical book, at: https://ko-fi.com/panda_paco/shop (Sorry, I need to advertise them when I show them, I still have lots of books with me)

Your support here on Patreon definitely helps to ensure the continuation of Art and Biro's adventures!! For real, thank you!! I will be able to work on this little by little, sorry if I get kind of slow, precisely that's why I want to make many changes on my commitments so I'm able to work on projects like this one. I'm truly excited!

And also you can see the full time-lapse process video of this illustration attached on this post!

Trickster Tom

Trickster Tom is an ex-archaeologist kobold with a passion for finding (and stealing) hidden treasures and ancient secrets in excavations, proficient with the use of traps and crossbows. He is an expert in history and in avoiding traps. His knowledge of ancient civilizations and artifacts is deep, making him an invaluable companion for any expedition. He is accompanied by his friend Brick, a rat he found in the swamps while fleeing from his excavation. He was about to eat her when he discovered that instead of a meal he could make a friend. After all, kobolds eat anything, even stones and branches soup.

He's a sidekick character I made for my D&D campaign, at first he was just a passing character that my players would interact with and give them directions on how to proceed, but I grew so fond of his background story that I ended up developing him a lot more, and, successfully, my players also liked him that much that they ended up inviting him on the adventure and now he helps them with an important quest.

If he ends up being a character with much more relevance than he had in the last session, I'll draw him more, and even color him. (Such a shame that our next session will be until November, everyone will be so busy on the upcoming months, boo)

WIP

This strange WIP is the result of an Amazon mistake. I had ordered a book that costed 800 mxn, my surprise when I received the package was finding a very small soft cover book that it was nothing related to the one I had ordered, it was a super boring book about politics. I claimed to Amazon, maintaining the book on its original wrap, ready for returning it and maybe they could send me the right one. But instead of that, they refunded me completely the money, they didn't even ask for the book back.
I ordered the book I'm expecting again, and luckily this time I found it even cheaper.
I thought that maybe I could sell this mistaken book about politics, since it was completely new, but then I found that it is a book that nobody wants and it costs 14 mxn (less than a dollar).

So I thought, if I'm already using some silly things as canvas, why not to use a useless book as canvas as well. I'm still debating if I should paint it with colored pencils or with acrylics, it depends if I want the text to be visible over the character or not. Probably not, but I would need to make a seal first before adding acrylics to a book.

Hope it results good!

And that's it! Once again, thank you very much for such amazing support from all of you!
Your support indeed will make me be able to work again on the Art & Biro comic chapter 2, and other projects to come. Otherwise, I would need to be focusing completely only on commissions.

I love you all!
