Perhaps another instesting series for you to work on could be also "Gargoyles", it features interesting characters and I can see very few 3D artists working on that, what you think? :)

I understand that you doing art on command can be stifling to your creativity and result in subpar work. So i say do what you feel and don’t get burnt out
