Meet the Crew: Brigid Gallagher
Added 2021-02-16 14:02:26 +0000 UTCWe enjoy catching up with the Time Team family, and in the case of Brigid Gallagher, 'family' is a particularly apt word! Not only did Brigid meet her future husband – 3D graphics supremo Raysan Al-Kubaisi – on the show; their daughter, Bella, also first learnt to walk on a Time Team shoot!
Brigid appeared in over 70 episodes as a field archaeologist, occasionally showcasing her skills as a trained conservator. She has now returned to her native New Zealand with the family and, together with Raysan, has set up a heritage consultancy, Mishmish. Brigid also presents her own show – 'Heritage Rescue'.

Brigid, It's great to see TT re-emerge and to hear what the members of the crew are doing today. I wonder if any work has been done in Waipu, north of Aukland on the settlement of Rev. Norman MacLeod and his 'Normanite' followers? They came via Adelaide, from St. Anns, NS, Canada, where there remains a Twinning Society, connecting those who remained with those who emmigrated to New Zealand. Does anything remain of their original 1853 settlement other than monuments in the local cemetery?

Like you Steve I am fascinated by the 3D imagination required of a field archaeologist. To be able to visualise the whole from a line of stones, or a series of colour changes in the dirt is amazing.
