Dig Two, Day Three: Nearly there...

What an adventure the last few weeks have been! We may all be feeling a bit weary as we draw towards the end of the 3rd day on site of our 2nd dig, but the atmosphere is electric amongst the crew making the final push to answer so many questions of our Roman Villa Site in Oxfordshire.

We can't wait to share the final shows with you all in more detail (details and dates TBC). In the meantime we hope you are all enjoying an exclusive glimpse behind-the-scenes as we follow the journey of Time Team back in the field. You can even take a walk about the site as Derek and Lawrence give you a tour of the trenches and catch up with old and new faces!

Don't forget that this is just the start of a long process with so much more to do on both the film and archaeology elements as Carenza mentioned in yesterday's 'Spoil Heap' session. We will be sharing some more of the post-production and post-dig processes with you soon, as we dive into what happens after Day 3!

Dig Two, Day Three: Nearly there...

Hi Lacy, community involvement and the legacy Time Team leave after a dig is so important to us, and we are making a huge effort to prioritise that even more so now! We will be sharing more on this soon, but we had several local groups involved in both of our sites, as well as a visit from a local school too. If possible we hope to continue further investigations at the sites too, working with those that are locally connected and involved in the sites supporting them to discover the most we can about the locations and finds.

Hi Noel, Thank you for your self control and we hope that it will pay off you'll enjoy the final show even more for doing so. We understand it's frustrating but in these current times we have had to take extra precautions to keep the production happening and as safe as possible for all involved. We wish we could invite all our fans and supporters to come and have a look but its just not practical or possible at this current time.

Yes the final new shows will eventually be shown on YouTube for all to watch for free worldwide. Details and dates are still to be announced.

Where are we supposed to watch the New digs on YouTube. I am a Patreon Member ?

Community involvement was always a big thing… is that not happening anymore? How much more funding do we need to get the community involvement back!?!

I think I deserve a prize for self control and patience for staying out of the way and letting the team get on with the job. I only live a couple of miles away from the dig and am continually driving past on route to my daughter's. The temptation to meander along the local footpaths was almost too much to bear. Thanks a lot team for your efforts in all that you do both on the dig and keeping us informed. Can't wait for all the rest of the details to be released over the coming months.
