S21 | Dig 2: Lost & Found: Post-Excavation Processing

For several members of the team, the end of the dig is when the work really gets started!

In this brief and slightly shaky clip from the end of Day Three, we hear from Dani Wootton and Naomi Sewpaul in the finds processing area, to find out what happens next...

A wonderful teaser. I look forward to hopefully seeing more of the post-excavation phase that doesn’t spoil anything in the final show.

Thanks for this; insights on post excavation work are fascinating.

Wow - loving this!

Sam Kerr-Smiley

Lovely and experienced ladies, doing what they love😄👍🏻 It’s a pleasure to watch them.

I think this is the best snippet yet. Dani and Naomi at the end of Day Three, energized and excited that it's NOT the end but just the beginning. Digging is great fun but understanding what has been found is the story, the job and why Time Team is supported. Thank you everyone!

Great to get to see even a little bit of all the actual behind the scenes work. Maybe a follow up on the various research facilities showing the process would be awesome

Graham Dombkins

Job everyone! Thank you so much for all your hard work! I appreciate you so much. Thank you everybody on time team and my fellow Patreon’s!

Cheryl Kurucz

Great to see some of the results of the three day dig. Looks like a very interesting story. Hours of cleaning have been involved. Looking forward to the reconstruction.

That is something I didn't think about.. when the show is done all the finds had to be recorded and catalogued. Do you find anything unexpected while doing that and wish it would make the show>

Carl Johnson

All those finds promise to be very interesting as the results come in and the 'big picture' is put together. Getting it out of the ground is just step one...as Dani said, it's just the beginning to understanding what they've found and truly undestanding the whole dig/site. I can't wait to see what they show us! :D

Kay Theriault

I hope we get more “Dig Watch” updates from the lab(s)! Give us a peek thru the microscope and such!

Kathryn Sherlock

So interesting will we get a follow-up on these reports. Great job everyone.
