S21 | Dig 1: Drive Time

Join us for a quick drive around the Cornish site featured in this year's digs in the Time Team Land Rover.

As you'll see, the Land Rover was kitted out with 2021's 'Flags of Fame', adorned with the names of our Patrons. Your name could be on there somewhere!

Congrats on finding your name... how were you able to locate it, so I might find mine as well?

Patricia Amero

I found my name - took me ages

Both Tony and Phil gave their reasons for not be able to be part of the new time team. Tony has other filming commitments and I can't remember what Phil said, but it was explained back in the beginning of all this.

Exactly, and Tony. There should have been some explanation. Anyone know how I can unsubscribe?

What Happened to Phil Harding?

Are you going to do another wall with names on it? I joined Patreon too late to be on the first one :(

Peg Warnock

Enjoying every bit of new footage coming out of the trenches. Would sure be nice to see Phil Harding back in the trenches along with the other returning members of the original team. Keep up the great work. Can't wait to see how the true 3-day episodes shape up.

Hi James, we haven't changed these settings but you can adjust and personalise the email notifications you receive in your own account's settings. Details on how to do that are here: https://support.patreon.com/hc/en-gb/articles/115002984566-Manage-my-email-notifications Hope that helps to solve the issue.

Have you stopped notifying patreon members of these by email? I have had to go looking for the last three or four. Not in my inbox…or spam filters.

James Leighninger

The lack of archeology tit bits is frustrating, need more for the paying members

Instead of a drive around could we have a fly past with a drone? Assuming it doesn't give too much away.

I do like the new presenters, sadly I am no good remembering names, my apologies. Putting the patreons names on the flags is such a wonderful thing to do, it makes me feel that we are really appreciated bless whoever thought of the idea. I have a little idea about the site now and can't wait to see the new episodes, I still watch the old ones on YouTube and enjoy them so much. It's wonderful to feel a part of the new Time Team, Mick would be thrilled that you are bringing it back again. Take care and stay safe please everyone Mary-Ellen Johnson

Thanks for your insights, Jon. Yes, the bonus material of the new 'old' logo on the Rover bonnet and then followed by drone footage of the same be-flagged chariot driving through the dig site is certainly a bonus - for some - here on Patreon. Don't mind me while I curb my enthusiasm.

I’m assuming you are referring to the actual new Time Team episodes? Tim assures us that they are on the way, but right around the end of the year. It seems that some (but probably not anyone here on Patreon) have been getting the bits of bonus material confused with the end product!

Hi David, thanks for your thoughts. We appreciate how eager everyone is for news and we are busy working on a range of updates to share with you asap, both on this year's digs and future plans moving forwards. Some of these do take time to get various things in place in order to share them with you. We're working on an update on the post-production process for the main episodes and in the meantime will be sharing a Dig Watch video on YouTube from our second dig, bringing together some highlights from Patreon alongside some previously unseen moments. Thanks for your patience while we're preparing the next steps in the process and thanks again for your support.

Really looking forward to an actual 3-day dig video........or is that wishful thinking?

Great idea but it would have been great to have more to get a sense of the site. Looking forward to some archaeology related updates in due course. More interviews would also be great, even just a quick update on the type of work being done post-dig. We started with great momentum with the first dig but things seem to have slowed in terms of updating the subscribers in line with what was advertised for different subscription rates at the outset.
