It is so great to hear more of what happens after TT.

Listening to Sam and Helen (....and Stewart....and Phil...and...) makes me realize yet again how much their enthusiasm comes across. I'd love to just listen to them tell stories of the sites of their careers, or better yet walk around someplace with them while they talk about the area. They make history come alive

Thank you for the update! This was a fascinating site, a tense site, and I'm glad that research is still going on there!

Thanks for the link to the excavation report. I've been curious about what documents are generated based on the show investigations. It would be interesting to see more of these.

Great follow up video really enjoyable.

I think I'm getting too enthusiastic but has anyone had a look at the 5/16/2019 Google Earth image of the fields (lime green in colour) about 1km to the north west of the Cross Farm House, Eastry. Am I looking at some interesting "crop marks" or should I go for a lie down?

Interesting to note how much is learned from the finds after the dig when there is an opportunity to learn more about things that went unnoticed at the time. Just talking about the site took 15 minutes. Imagine how seeing some of the finds and looking at the additional work that has been done in the field could easily make an episode that follows up on the traditional three day dig. Couple that with a pre-dig episode that does the geophys (never enough time to focus properly on the geophys in the traditional format), provides some of the historical context such as was done in this talk and through talking to historians, examining maps and previous digs that relate in some way to the focus. That for me would be a new Time Team heaven that mixes the old format with the bits we were always wanting to know more about thrown in.

So happy to hear follow up, am looking forward to looking back at these sites for what's been done there since. Interesting to hear how the finds changed the picture back to a graveyard.

Glad you enjoyed it! We have more follow-up reports from Dani on the way. We've also just added the link to the original excavation report in the description box above. Thanks
