Instead of completing my A & A degree, I got married, had a family and changed my major to have a career that put me in one spot to work and have family life. Now, the family has aged and I spend time watching Time Team and wondering what a life as an A & A would have been like. There is a place in New Mexico I would love to excavate, but having the Time Team there is just the fantasy of an old woman.

2021-03-29 23:41:34 +0000 UTCLoved Tony through all the years, but as others have said with other commitments and him getting on it’s.a lot to ask for him, or Phil, to do it as they did nigh on a decade ago. Sandi Toksvig would be ideal. I’ll miss Tony though.

It is an academic site run by the Bulgarians with restoration training. On the main east/west road so many sequential time periods and abandon so not built over. Not as restrictive as Greek sites. Not as exciting as Tiryns. Still palaces, churches, trade, residential, mosaics, gov. Enormous physical site.

There will always be new archaeologists and team members to take the place of those who are no longer able to be involved, just as they came and went in past series. I loved watching Tony and Phil but the archaeology is what is at the centre of it all.

Would love to see Tony back on set with TT and making it all happen "in 3 days!" Would be a JOY to see Phil back in action as well! Talk about getting the band back together--a dream team!
