An update in light of yesterdays' sad news..
Added 2022-09-09 11:35:16 +0000 UTCDear everyone,
In light of yesterday’s sad news, after a period of reflection and consultation with the team, we have decided to go ahead with the first Time Team shoot, in a respectful way, with the main episode to be released as planned next Spring.
Out of respect, we are reviewing the release schedule of our ‘as live’ Dig Watch coverage.
Rest assured, we will produce a range of unique insights into the archaeology and production process, as well as answering your questions, which we look forward to sharing with you soon, at an appropriate time.
We understand how important Time Team is to you and how much you have personally invested in the process with us.
Thank you for your patience and understanding at this time and we can’t wait to share our discoveries with you in due course.
Best wishes from Tim, Emily and all the team.

Completely agree, relieved the dig is going ahead, disappointed that we're not getting the live coverage.

2022-09-11 12:38:43 +0000 UTCmiss her Christmas Day address so much. It was a special occasion for our whole family here in America. King Charles you have all our support and affection earned by such hard work over the years. God Save the King. Gives you chills just to say it doesn't it?
2022-09-10 19:46:44 +0000 UTCIt's hard to imagine the Queen, that I cherish in my own, mind objecting to Time Team's indefatigable quest for our British History. Perhaps she might have said something like....Keep Digging....and Carry On. I shall

2022-09-10 10:33:41 +0000 UTCI agree that the digs should not be cancelled, but neither should the live reports, all be it in an amended form. Patreons make their contributions to enable the archeology to happen and to be there with the science as the archeology unfolds. Could we have a little more clarity on what, 'sharing with you soon, at an appropriate time' means. For me the 'appropriate time' is still as the archeology is actually happening.

2022-09-09 22:39:54 +0000 UTCHmm, drought, fires, climate morphing into hot, Queen Elizabeth II passing, a new king … not to mention a new Prime Minister? and Time Team soldiers on? … Schedule modifications? Bah! No worries! Looks to me like the team is pulling off another miracle.

2022-09-09 18:05:08 +0000 UTCI was thinking as well of the episode at the Royal Palaces; this is an appropriate response and in keeping with the need to "Carry On" but mindful of doing so in a respectful manner. Perhaps a moment of silence on the site that could go live that we could all share in?
