Gus is such a nice person (as are his interviewers...). And so thoughtful and insightful. He appears to be one of those people who you could probably talk to all day. He certainly brings a new appreciation for the wonder of archaeology, coming to it from the outside (so to speak). Greatly looking forward to hearing more!

Oh, Gus, I know what you mean, but rest assured you are a very handsome man.

Loved hearing Anglo saxon spoken / sung. And hearing the lyre. Thank you I hope there will be more.

I love Gus! I love to hear him speak even if he doesn’t! And he always has the most eloquent answers. He’s awesome. I think he does a phenomenal job on the show as well :) I am glad Natalie’s book is doing well. She will be missed! I really like her sense of humor and I hope she returns!

I am pleased that things are going well for Natalie, but I do regret her absence. As a man I am very comfortable with the blokeish atmosphere that often developed around TT and archaeology in general, but I recognise that this is not properly representative of either those involved or the world it explores. Whilst I very much like Gus as a presenter, and dare I say it prefer him to Tony, Natalie brings a balance and approach that enriches the experience. And we should not forget that she is a very capable and knowledgeable historian in her own right.

Great interview Derek and Lawrence thank you. Wonderful to get to know Gus better.

Dear Gus, there's nothing wrong with your face! Keep up the good work. I love the 'behind the scenes' glimpses of the team members.

You've taken on the previous critiques from patreon comments, owned them, fixed them. As a consequence everything that was great is greater, thank you.

Concerning fashion, my wife was in love with Mick's colourful clothing, and followed Phil's hats, noticing when they changed. Another joke between us was John's car key on geophys plots. We would try to notice, if he had a new car. Most of the new team haven't been there long enough to pick up on these sort of things.

Great catch up video with Gus Casely-Hayford. I just subscribed to his Torn podcast and looking forward to listening to all the episodes during the week.

It seems to me a huge amount of early trade connections were related to what people wore...I would love to see more about this... in early TT they often dressed members up in Roman attire, monks robes, etc. Fashion often came from far away even then.

Thank you for such a nice interview with Gus. We get to know him just a bit better. Will be looking up his podcast and following him. Glad Gus brought up the Sartorial Choices of Archeologist because we don’t give sartorial research much credibility. We forget how dress mattered to our ancestors wearing today’s mass produced clothing.
