S22 | Dig Watch: Knights Hospitaller Preceptory: Day One - Site Walkabout
Added 2022-09-30 17:38:10 +0000 UTCDerek and Lawrence have returned to the site following this morning's antics at Whittington Castle. Our centre of interest is just a few miles down the road, on the estate of the beautiful Halston Hall.
It's been a busy but rewarding Day One. Compared to the Anglo-Saxon cemetery dig in Norfolk, the action got underway promptly with several trenches opened up in quick succession.
The day is drawing to a close, the team will soon be downing tools and getting ready for a well-earned pint (pub scene, you say?).
But before we go, it's time for a Site Walkabout, and we have another fantastic tour lined up...

Congrats to all that found your names =) I did find my name on one of the new smaller flags in a previous video and I know exactly where I am on last year’s banner.
