S22 | Dig Watch: Knights Hospitaller Preceptory: Day Three - Morning Briefing

It's the morning of our final day of the Knights Hospitaller dig, and here's Derek and Lawrence with a quick briefing on the day ahead... by the way, what a pair of mugs!

We have the last Site Walkabout on the way, alongside another layer of the data map, an incredible interactive 3D model, plus a rather lovely Q&A session with Helen Geake, answering your questions.

For anyone whose name didn't make it onto the flag, we understand your disappointment, but please don't worry - we have an update coming shortly with a remedy to ensure your names will be physically with us at the all-important third site.

The dig weekend might be almost over, but we have many more insights to share from both digs and the post-production process in the weeks ahead.

We also have some very exciting new pieces on the horizon, dropping in some fascinating projects, which we cannot wait to share with you.

Thank you again for all your support!

My name is on the flag. Proud that Sir Ralph Lee AKA Sir Pevenhull went on crusade with the Knights Hospitallers. FYI, Sir Fulk Fitzwarin III, born at Whittington Castle circa 1165, d. 1258 is reputedly source of the Robin Hood myth.

Actually, Mark, when I first saw these mugs in the earlier programs I interpreted them as displaying Pride solidarity. I felt this was a cause for celebration, along with more inclusivity in the Team in terms of women and people of colour. Every time and place is appropriate to embrace diversity :-)

Of course, an appropriate Mick memory, not TT having to get on the 'rainbow flag', PC bandwagon. Thanks goodness. (A time and a place).
