S21 | Roman unguent bottle (Broughton) - 3D model

We're getting rather excited about our sarcophagus dig – the first outing of our new Expedition Crew.

The two-part premiere kicks off tonight (Thursday 22nd) at 7pm on the Time Team Official YouTube channel, so please join us for the live chat if you can: https://youtu.be/Qzba8ZrKQA8

When the sarcophagus was first discovered in the 1960s, it was accompanied by a small glass unguent bottle, which is now held at the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford.

Our 3D whizz, Matt 'Bear' Clark, has created a stunning reconstruction model, which can be explored on Sketchfab here:

Look out for more models from the dig coming soon...

Derek, really? Blisters? You getting soft?

Would it be possible to make the source .OBJ file downloadable on Sketchfab? It would be awesome to print this on my own 3D printer.

Jakub Jůzl

We are excited too.
