We're delighted to announce that Time Team and the National Trust are working together on a landmark project to shed new light on Sutton Hoo, one of the UK's most iconic and significant archaeological sites.
Using state-of-the-art surveying techniques including our full suite of geophysics and drone-mounted photogrammetry, we are mapping the site – above and below ground – in a definition never seen before. It is hoped this will bring to light previously unidentified features for potential future investigation.
Members of the team including Tim Taylor, Dr John Gater, Jimmy Adcock, Adam Stanford and Helen Geake have visited the Royal Burial Ground in recent weeks to begin this exciting new project.
This new venture with the National Trust is in addition to our earlier announcement, working alongside the Sutton Hoo Ship's Company to film their reconstruction of the ship.
Together, we will delve deeper into the fascinating story of Sutton Hoo and we cannot wait to share more with you over the coming weeks.
