10,000 GOAL for active members: we're nearly there!

In July 2023, Time Team set a new goal to achieve 10,000 active, ongoing paid members. This will enable us to investigate new sites and create more episodes, more regularly!

Thanks to your support, we are now so close to the target with a current paid member count of 9,998.*

With your support, we hope to be able to announce some exciting developments in the pipelines.

*PLEASE NOTE: (Last updated 21/3/24) Patreon has recently updated the look of the platform with a new 'total members' count, which also includes fans who have registered interest, as well as 'paid members'. To see the most up-to-date 'paid members' count, click on the 'About' tab at the top of our Patreon profile and then scroll to the bottom of the page.

The view may look different depending on the device / browser / app being used to access the page. The member breakdowns don't appear to be currently available when viewed via the Android or iOS app.

Yes, great to have them on youtube! There are several later series available in Binge in Australia but would love to see earlier episodes again! Got a fair few on an old hard disc recorder thingy … somewhere!

Hi, thanks for the question and for your ongoing support! Each year's flag is unique, and inclusion has never been automatic, so members will always need to opt in within the given timeframe every year to ensure inclusion. To comply with data regulations we have to give members a choice on whether they wish to be included. This approach also allows you to choose the specific name or dedication to be represented on the flag. To be included: 1. Please ensure you have an active membership Digger Crew or above. 2. Find the post from 15th March labelled: 'MEMBERSHIP OFFER | 2024 Time Team Flag of Fame: Submission Open!' 3. Follow the link to the dedicated form, and then opt in /enter your details, before 23:59 (UK time) on 1st April 2024. Thanks

Time Team

I have been in the flag since the beginning and been an active Patreon member. Since Inclusion in the Flag of Fame will not be automatic from now and will not carry over from a previous year I would like to know what do I have to do now and in the future to stay in the flag. I have contributed $4 per month since the very beginning and continue to contribute until today. I would like to know exactly what I need to do not to be removed from the flag. Will I need to upgrade to the Diggers Tier or bigger to be included? Since I want to continue with my support to the Team, can somebody provide clear instructions?

Edmundo Vasquez

yay looks like you hit 10k paid members, I even upgrade from digger to help

Neil Graham

I just joined the team too!

Damien

So pleased to be a part, if only a small one, of this exciting project. Long live Time Team may their adventures continue long into the future.

Anthony Ruston

Watching time team for so long. 20 years or longer. Proud to be a patreon

Noreah Smith

During the pandemic obsessively (OBESSIVELY) watched every single episode ever filmed in the original run. Was so sad to say good bye to my friends Phil, Jon, Mick, Carissa and Helen. Then, you reappeared here! Excited to be a member and beyond excited to what the new content you're creating. Long Live Time Team!

Kimberly Fox

Hi, we always love to hear feedback and use it to inform what we do. You can comment here, send a message through Patreon, or send more detailed thoughts to membership@timeteamdigital.com Thanks

Time Team

Started watching YT Time Team a while back and finally joined the patreon club. I am wondering where it would be appropriate (if at all) to offer suggestions on various bits of the different process' ? I noticed a few spots in various shows that might help new people to connect a bit faster to the data that's being presented. Additionally I had some ideas on some of the finds that were portrayed in one light...that might represent another train of thought. Regardless, LOVE the results of the teams and thank you Mr. Taylor...

Opegasus

I love time team and have been a fan for a long time. I think that there were only selected series available in Australia and so I have been binge watching you tube to catch up. I am excited to be a new member of patreon. I hope at some stage we will get to see Phil Harding!

Justine

Have been binge watching. I love this. Views of GB which is wonderful and learning archeology. Phil is so fun to watch. Getting used to the new younger folks. Loved Mich,'s striped jumpers. Get a new member to wear bright jumpers. It looks so good in the scene. Easy to spcontributions. Joined while watching Band of Brothers. So good to see/hear Sir Tony. I love his enthusiasm. Loved beautiful Carencro and Mr. Gator. Especially enjoyed the artist and archivists comntributions.

MichaelNancy Amsden

Glad to be here !. Been watching for over 10 years up here in Canada love this show

Sherri lynn

Hi, as mentioned in our previous post the extended coverage will be shared on Patreon shortly. Please look out for the post. Thank you

Time Team

PATREON.COM/TIMETEAMOFFICIAL About 3/4 through tonight's news Derek refers to the "extended coverage" of the X-ray analysis on Patreon. I've just gone to https://www.patreon.com/TimeTeamOfficial/ . That redirects to https://www.patreon.com/TimeTeamOfficial/posts, where I can see nothing relevant.

Dr Richard Mellish

Just joined .. sorry for the slow pick up here in Los Angeles! But didn’t know until a friend tipped me off that TT was back!! Let the geo-phys begin!!!

Kimberly Fox

We love you guys!

Deirdre Mitra

9604 now, it seems it gets a bit of momentum! 👍

A terrestrial being

Happy to have joined. I am a US citizen with almost total British ancestry. I have a masters in anthropology. I've been binging on classic Time Team and now I am going to learn from the new presentation. Keep it up, guys. Love you all, old and new.

William Poe

Hi Heather, our current tally of active paid members is 9,594, so we're not far off!

Time Team

When are you going to update this number?

Heather McH

After a few months you get a certificate to prove you are a patreon. They will have mentioned that when you signed up

Giles Langley

what certificate? What am I missing out on? lol

Christopher L Gough

I love the early, old format episodes where they just turned up and had 3 days to complete the dig. Although times moves on, I really miss the old team. They had something special and unique. Still love the modern Time Team though, not so much the format. Still can't get enough of it! Good luck for 2024!

Christopher L Gough

We're currently working on making on more classic episodes available. Which episodes/series we can release depends on many factors, including the existing distribution arrangements in place for each region. Look out for more details in due course. In the meantime, we have more Classic Specials every month, both on Patreon and YouTube!

Time Team

I'd love to get the early episodes to. I bought the later DVDs from series 15 (I think) onwards - but all are great viewing.

Jeremy Colebrooke

I just watched the boats that made Britain special and was captivated. I'm happy to keep contributing even though the newer episodes have lost a little something with the new format. I just don't have time to watch 3 hours of archeology unfortunately. Why don't you try and get rights to the earlier versions and sell them here first as I'd be more than happy to pay a good price for a complete set or for access to somewhere I can stream them.

Steve Prowse

Just got my certificate so thank you guys

Giles Langley

I have just signed up as a Patreon as a Christmas gift to myself. I am originally from Yorkshire, and remember Time Team doing the York live event. I moved to France with my family many years ago now and live in a beautiful area with a recently undiscovered medieval village being excavated not too far away from us. Time team is something I have watched since it started (so showing my age a little), but it is nice to see it is still going with a whole new generation of experts coming through alongside the older ones (sorry guys hehe) who are still involved ... My mum also follows Time Team and she remembers seeing Mick Aston in Honfleur many many years ago and being far too embarrased to disturb him whilst he was enjoying a drink. The technology has certainly developed and I am loving the virtual museum. Keep it up guys and I hope my small contribution helps towards this :)

Sandra Coleman

Just joined Patreon and treated myself to becoming a member for Christmas :) I’m loving the reboot!! I’ve watched Time Team ever since I was a young teen and have always loved archaeology. As a Black Country born and bred history buff myself, Mick was and always will be one of my heroes. He would be so proud of you all for carrying on the legacy of making archaeology accessible to all - he would be so amazed at the virtual museum stuff I just know it!

Gee Clowes 🏳️‍🌈💛🤍💜🖤

Just signed up on Patreon! I'm originally from Yorkshire but live in Palm Beach Florida now. This show encapsulated everything I love about the British humour and Britain's history :) Can't believe I still have the option to be involved after all these years. Best of luck for 2024 to all the team! Chris.

Christopher L Gough

Well I am happy to add my name to the ever growing list, and wish you all the very best of luck going forward! :)

TyFish [kryyptyyk]

I had the same experience! I was so, so sick during chemo (I was being given too high a dose) and Time Team was my go-to almost every day. I love learning, and what's cooler than history being found, validating what is thought to have been true, and to find out that some history was wrong and what T. T. found changed what historians thought they knew as well as opened up many more questions! I beat breast cancer and T. T. was often the highlight of my day! And I'm very happy to have new shows to watch and older shows to see again - I usually learn something I had missed the last time! Congratulations on beating cancer and thank you for sharing your story - it means a lot! 😊🫂

Janni Di

Canada - How can I not renew my membership, Time Team Classics helped get me through my journey with cancer it's how I discovered the series watching it on YouTube while getting Chemo. Then, when I had the chance to join Patreon last year I became a member of Time Team the only thing I have ever supported on this platform. Oh, my cancer, all good! I look forward to next years Time Team Goodies...

Brett

So very good to have access to the Refreshed high technology usage with all the characters, some beloved oldies and some new, yet brilliant professors & finds in 2023! Bravo folks. Cheers to you all.

Rubys Rose

Joined up again this year. Hoping to see a lot more Roman&Saxon digs as these were always my favourite, they produced such a lot more finds as compared to stone age/ bronze age digs.

Frank O'Regan

I wish you every success, Time Team. Your program is welcoming, instructional, & builds community. The Time Team crew, past and present feel like old friends. As human as you all certainly are, it’s inspiring watching such supportive, collaborative teamwork, from top to bottom. Or perhaps it’s horizontal(?) in that no one seems unimportant on your show. It’s just lovely.

Sarah Pethan

Hi David, thanks for feedback - we really appreciate it and take it all on board to ensure we can provide the best value possible for your support. It's an ongoing balance between trying to make Time Team as accessible and inclusive as possible to everyone, while, of course, rewarding our biggest supporters here on Patreon. We have increased the public output with the new regular monthly release schedule. At the same time, we've also increased the production values and exclusivity of the behind-the-scenes Dig Watch content for our two recent 3-day digs in Devon and Dorset, which is only available to supporters on Patreon. We're also releasing additional Classic Specials on Patreon (one a month), which are not currently available on YouTube. There are some very exciting developments in the pipelines for 2024, which we hope to share more details on very soon. In the meantime, look out for a range of special Patreon exclusives on the way between now and the New Year.

Time Team

This is feedback rather than a criticism, but I think one of the issues in growing the membership is convincing others of the value of being a member versus not being a member. There seems to have been a decrease in the amount of content available only to Patreons apart from things like 3D models and more content being available free to all. As someone who has just retired and looking at ways I can reduce my spending I have cancelled some subscriptions. I have maintained my Time Team Patreon subscription at the moment, but will have to consider the benefits beyond helping Time Team to produce content that is then free to the world, if I am to continue as a subscriber. Most Patreon content producers offer significant additional content beyond what they provide on other platforms for free. As stated at the outset, I don’t want this to be taken as a criticism but food for thought on how to effectively help the membership grow.

David Boon

This is soooo exciting! More digs! More digs! More digs!

Melissa Rybb

Fantastic idea, Neil!

Mick Holden

Fantastic news 👌🏻🥳❤️

MandyP

I brought a car windscreen sticker, and people ask why I have it on a new car (3 month old), and I tell than the show is now on YouTube with a couple of digs a year, but to get the best video's they need to join patreon, at least 2 I know have since joined.

Neil Graham

Wow, we've come along way since December 2020. Keep on digging.

Eve

❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🤗🤗❤️

Cheryl Kurucz

Congrats from the States! There are so many fans over here. We will nudge the ones we know into greater action.

Ellen Blackstone

and locked out the lowest tier from things they formerly could see.

Lou Nathaniels

So excited to see this milestone approaching. I'll share with my indecisive friends and give them a nudge in the right direction. 🙂

Mick Holden

Hi Thomas, apologies - the view might look slightly different depending on the device you are viewing on, and you may also need to be logged out in order to see the separate tallies. Clicking on the 'About' tab should show '10,254 members' and '465 posts'. However, scrolling to the very bottom of the page should show 'Total members 10,254 members', 'Paid members 9,272', and 'Posts 465'. It's confusing, and we've raised it with Patreon to see if both numbers can be made more visible on the platform. In the meantime, we've pinned this post to make it easier to see where we are with the goal. Many thanks

Time Team

Same on the iOS app. It’s a baffling omission from Patreon, and the website version of this page contains information that the app just won’t show. Patreon's recent app updates have been, frankly, a confusing mess. But I’m grateful that the platform gives us the chance to support Time Team.

Loz

You currently have to view the webpage of About which shows 9272 paid members and 10254 total members. The iOS app hasn’t been updated to show this yet.

Abbey Taylor

When I follow these instructions and scroll to the bottom, I only see "Total Members: 10,254." There's no separate "Active Members" count. Viewing within the Android Patreon app.

Mick Holden

That’s what I did!

Thomas Schulz Rohm
