Sketch comic | Mei got me a white cane
Added 2022-06-06 02:15:54 +0000 UTCI had a little incident again ๐ฉI had a vitreous detachmen (didnโt know the vitreous can detach many times haha) I was waiting this week to know if I had to get emergency surgery but luckily the blood reabsorbed by itself! So no surgery for me. I lost vision in both eyes for a week or so. I wasnโt completely blind. Just a lot of lights and spots that wasnโt there. The lights had gonne, the spots remain forever but oh well theyโre small and nothing new and Iโm able to keep drawing :) So mei got me my white cane and Iโll start practicing with it cause โจchronic illnessโจ

2022-06-06 22:38:27 +0000 UTCI always find it weird how some aids are normalised (glasses, shoes, bags) and others are othered (canes, wheelchairs, etc.), but I guess that's the nature of stigma and ablism. I am glad recovery is largely good! Definitely use whatever aids are helpful. We deserve to make our lives easier for ourselves โค๏ธ
