Forest Base Part 1: Water Effects and Rocks

Hey Everyone!

Slight delay on this video as I was trying to get rid of the flash at the beginning. Didn't want to wait any longer so here you go!

This video turned out a little different as I will explain. I painted the rocks really nicely, but for some reason I didn't like it at the time. So I sprayed over my work and started again! Looking back at the footage, it looked absolutely fine. There was no need for it, but at the time I just wanted to paint it again. I am sure we have all felt like this about our painting! So I present to you two ways to paint the rock. Both recipes are great at there are some good tips throughout both parts. I Hope you understand and enjoy the two methods I offer you.

I am working on the next parts and I am sure there will be loads of useful teaching points through out! At the point we are at it looks a little boring, but I know it will come alive with all the green of moss and dramatic water splashes!

As a little bonus I am working on a super fast Snow base too. I aim to be getting two videos out for you next week; Forest part 2 and fast snow basing.

Comments

dont worry, I commented before I finished the vid. Durrr

I'm gonna just shout my mouth - literally paused it to write the comment and then saw you used the hot glue straight after .... derp

Hi Rich, I’m a little confused because that is what I did in the video. I used hot glue instead of super glue.

Cult of Paint

Loved the video and attention you spend on bases. Really keen on seeing more like this.
