Glutos Part 1: Skin

This is a really theory heavy video on how I’m approaching skin. Trying to show you how I personally develop, and try to improve my own work. I hope you enjoy it. This is going to be quite a crazy project and I think it will provide some interesting videos for you all!

I absolutely loved this video Andy. Found the stuff about Ferri fascinating — also sent some links about him to my mother who’s a massive fan of Caravaggio, and she was super interested in Ferri’s stuff — and then I dug the second, more technical section, especially the analysis of the macro shots at the end. In short, this is exactly what I want from videos about high level painting, more please! Ps: for me on the peck I think you want to squeeze the midtone from both sides. I think you need a broader highlight as well as more visible shadow.
