Sometimes you see characters an you want to know why they look the way they do, asking what is their story and how would they have gotten to where we see them now? When I saw this painted dragoness creature designed by EdPruvka, I immediately knew why and how.
I just had this dialogue of a society where the royal males dress themselves in silks and powders, enhancing their naturally pale and usually plain fur coats. The powders represent the male working class virtues, worn by the royals as a sort of homage to their people during festivals. The females look similarly to the males normally, but tradition considers their fair fur and plain attributes a virtue, unsullied by the colours of the earth and the toils of hard work. They are supposed to stay clean and beautiful, partaking in gentler professions in the society such as weaving and writing, but this unruly mistress has a mind of her own and marches to the tune of her own drums, thank you very much! She too would like to hunt, build, fight - Tonight, at the royal gathering feast, she will prove her point, and no male will be able to take their eyes off her. Exactly as she desires, for indeed - she WILL have that crown, laws be damned.
