Future Plans and an Art Book Update!

Now, onto other things. Now that v0.10.0 is out,it's time to look forward a little bit and figure out what's next for Lab Rats.
0.10.1 - The next major thing is to get v0.10 pushed out to the general public this Saturday. The public version won't contain any new content, but it will have a few quality of life fixes in it, including the ability to call Stephanie into the lab in the morning and descriptions for the different training options.
0.11 - The Anal update. Another "tag" update, similar to the Cumslut and Public ones that have been done already. It will add 5 new anal training scenes to the game, along with a bunch of new levels or options for existing major and minor sex scenes.
0.12 - The Exhibitionist/Free Use update. This update will take the "Public" tag and all it's content and break it up into to separate bits of training. The "Free Use" training will include anything where the girl wants to have sex with anyone, any time they want it. The "Exhibitionist" tag will include sex in public places, loud sex without worrying about people hearing, and showing off to strangers without going any farther than that. Existing content will be split between them, along with new content to fill them out.
0.13 - The Balance Update. This should be a fairly short update, taking a look at the general pace and balance of Lab Rats. I'll take a look at each event and see if it's triggering too often, not often enough, or just right. I'll also look at how different resources are balanced (time vs money vs serum) and see what should be tweaked to make the game play better in general.
0.14 and beyond - At this point Lab Rats 1 will be nearing completion. After 0.13 I'll have a good idea if the game is filled in enough to be called finished, or if it needs another update or two to add something in particular.
Between each of these updates, after they've been released to patrons but before their public release, I will be continuing work on Lab Rats 2. The goal is to have a bare bones v0.1 ready by the time Lab Rats 1 is finished so you can see the general shape of the game and the kinds of features that are going to be included. I'll be posting a little about the development of Lab Rats 2 as we go forward as well.

2017-08-19 21:48:20 +0000 UTCActually it does your first item now .at least in some of the girls. if you re visit the first level options with the girls in their "hub" scenes you will have additional options on how to further progress or change the ending or multiple steps etc... I stumbled into that with lily and mom anyhow, since you always get them at home easily for their hub scenes, the higher their influence score was - you went back to the first "strip for me" option - later you could tell them to do more, masturbate, choose how to treat them during the scene .. how to finish etc... I agree with you on the Nora part especially... she is ALWAYS my slowest one to progress because my random % sucks I guess but it is VERY hard for me to get her in the lab at night and do the party scene, 90% of the time its her wanting you to do more paperwork... or even texting her for study help etc...

2017-08-19 08:58:12 +0000 UTCOne idea from another game is to make it so that lower level interactions play out differently as influence goes up. Eg if all you ask is for them to strip and influence is very high the girls could try to entice you to go further. This is reflected in a few current events (eg the weekend movie event) already. Another idea is for the girls to reach out to you if you have ignored them for a while after maxing their influence above 100 and are focusing on others. It;s kind of odd how they will be content to not be visited by you for 60 days. With regards to balance: 1) More ways to ensure people show up or some sort of known schedule system. Eg visiting the lab at night has a very rare chance you can go to the staff meeting with Nora. This event is very important for raising her influence up. Thus I end up checking it every night and if it doesn't trigger I roll back text. It's hard to plan with how much random things there are. Also asking Nora to come by to trigger an event is something that requires checking all the time. 2) I suggested a while back that current influence should also affect future influence gain. Eg if you have very high influence then some resistance shouldn't matter. This also helps with the fact that training tags remove influence and currently you can't stockpile better serums since Stephanie is very hard to track down in the lab. An alternative would be a (very low) influence gain from events where you don't use the serum. 3) Some way of investing in more money gain would be useful. This could be tied with high influence of the girls. Currently once you get a girl to a high enough influence there's no real incentive to visit them again since you are time crunched and need to visit others. So say you go to interact with one of them and make money. Another alternative idea is say you get both nora and steph to 120 influence. Then you can openly make some red serum each week paid by the lab for free. 4) It wasn't obvious to me that sleeping early opened the shower scene event until 3rd playthrough. 5) A maximum influence gain cap for events (I set mine to 50) would be good for first timers who aren't sure how to trigger other events. Although given the increase in number of events now it may not be necessary. 6) The split money with mom feature isn't very needed right now since she has the weekend events and the beach which are reliable ones you can plan around to decay and can trigger once you have red serums.
