Prototype Week Progress and a Small Update

I've put out an updated version to of v0.10.1 that fixes a bug in Nora's new schoolgirl scene. You can get it here: Lab Rats v0.10.1a.

Last week, right after the release of v0.10.0, I put out an update detailing what I hoped to achieve with my week of prototyping time. Now that that time is up and I'm going back to working on the next update for Lab Rats 1, I wanted to do a recap of how everything went.

1) Make quality of life changes to LR 1. I accomplished everything I planned to do with this, changing how Stephanie's appearance at the lab is calculated, adding two new ways for you to get the door code, and adding descriptions to the training events before you commit to them.

2) Complete the serum application process in LR 2. I exceeded my expectations here and finished off all of the basic business management systems. You can now design, research, manufacture, and sell serums to make money for your company. You can also take serum from your company's inventory and give it to girls, raising and lowering various stats depending on how the serum was designed. Girls can be moved between departments in your company, or fired completely, and all the different rolls can be filled by either yourself, or your employees.

3) Investigate ways to automate image set production for LR 2. Things are looking very good on this front. I should be able to automate a significant chunk of the work for making image sets, which will make it much more feasible to have multiple sprite angles and outfits. I'm planning to devote my next prototyping week (which will take place during the week between the release of v0.11 to patrons and it's release to the public) entirely to coding up a tool for controlling the image process and testing it out.

Overall, a very solid week of progress! Now it's full steam ahead on v0.11, the "Anal Lover" update!

That's one of the things I want to really focus on with LR2. I'm going to let the player automate as many things as make sense, and cut out as much of the mindless looping as possible.

There are still a couple of updates planned for LR 1, so it will be another month or two before it enters into full development. I'll be trying to get a v0.1 out of it as soon as possible, but I don't have a firm date for when that might be yet.

One topic about the management aspect in LR2 is to consider adding the ability to automate some of it. Alternatively consider the UI for decisions (eg on/off toggles). Certain sim games devolve into mindless repetition near the mid or end game which makes it a chore rather than a fun game. Ways to reduce clicking is always appreciated.

When will there be a release of Lab Rats 2?

Excellent, the next prototype week for LR 2 will be focused on streamlining the image sets as much as possible, which will mean new outfits as well. I'll let you know if I need anything!

finally fixed the lily public triggering when is not public and slut outfits are now accessible if slut score is over 70 and you don't need to make them public, this game is now a real nice one and seem to have a lot of potential but looks like you are trying to end it as soon as possible :SAD: i like the thing that you leave the files so we can modify the game and dialogues but can you share the HS cards too so we can create our scenes with our images?
