v1.0 Release Plans
Added 2017-10-22 06:22:07 +0000 UTCLab Rats v0.12.1 is out to the public and doing well, and it's time to get to work on v0.13. Lab Rats v0.13 will be a general balance and detail pass on the game, rewriting poorly written scenes, changing the likelihood of various events, and so on.
The public release of v0.13 will also be known as v1.0 and be the official full release of the game! I feel like there is now enough content in Lab Rats that I would be comfortable calling it complete, and it feels like it's time to move onto Lab Rats 2 full time. My goal is to have Lab Rats 1 released in mid November, which coincidentally will be the one year anniversary since I began work on it.
If you have any sections of Lab Rats that you think deserves some attention, leave a comment below and I'll try and take a look at it. This might be a scene that needs rewriting, a section of the game that is light on content, a game mechanic that needs to be more clearly explained, or anything else you think would make the gameplay experience more fun and enjoyable!

Glad you enjoyed it! I'll see what I can do, I'd certainly like to add a few more ending permutations but I'll have to see how my development time ends up breaking down.

In theory everything should work properly on android, but menus may end up so small or distorted that it's unplayable. Once I have a full featured demo I'll test it out and see if it will be possible.

If there were one thing I would advocate for, it would be for each possible combination of pregnancies to have their own endings. I think it would add even more charm and diversity to things. All in all, the game was a real treat.

2017-10-26 08:11:15 +0000 UTCGlad you're up to finish this game, it was fun for me to play through three times the last two months ;) I second the suggestion to vary the girls' reaction when cumming inside them w/o birth control depending on sluttiness. The other suggestion I have (but maybe expensive to implement) is to modify dialogs of scenes which already happened before, i.e. let them say something like "Remember last time we did this?" or acting differently.

2017-10-23 05:08:16 +0000 UTCI think the game should have a difficulty setting, I mean the game is great, but there should be a casual mode for people who are just looking for a casual sex game experience, a normal mode, for how the game is now, then, just for the heck of it, a Hard mode, for people who really want to test their ability to manage the game and take the game as a test of the mind in an unforgiving setting. I would also like a Pregnant version of the orgy scene. but the game is fun and I don't really need that stuff.

2017-10-22 23:17:00 +0000 UTCThere's also the movie night without Lily - it feels odd that tere's a minor scene at high sluttiness with both there, but not when Lily isn't there, and there's a note in the code to go back and add something there as well, which would be nice. It might be worth raising the starting probability for some event chains (so we realise there's actually a scene there to be found later), and for some checks like the lab entry code, I would suggest letting the cap go up to 100% so you are sure to find it eventually. Currently some minor scenes are so rare that we never get to see the full progression in one playthrough - I'm thinking night scenes in particular, which I only got three times in my entire first run - so that's a factor to think about when rebalancing the probabilites.

2017-10-22 20:33:50 +0000 UTCI agree with this one. Maybe pre-100 influence but post-65 influence they will react negatively/hesitantly about finishing inside while off BC, but post-100 they can be 100% okay with getting knocked up.

2017-10-22 16:44:47 +0000 UTCAlright, so I was digging through the games code (thank you so much for the code monkey notes explaining things, very useful!) because taking a shower in the morning didn't seem to have any events. I then noticed that you had a 'to-do' note for a chance of Mom and Lily getting in the shower with you. Any chance you could implement that? It seems odd to leave any actions as being completely pointless, and it seems right now the shower is pointless. Unless I completely missed something, which is possible. I know you aren't really looking to add anything major for the last update, but I was really looking forward to that scene and hope you'll give it some thought. You had some to-do items that seemed really interesting, but that was the one that stood out the most to me. Other than that, the game definitely feels complete. Others have brought up some things like typos or awkward sentences, but content-wise it feels really great. Obviously more content added would always be good, but it has to be called finished at some point, and right now it feels really content-complete (except for a certain shower scene, *cough* *wink* Looking forward to Lab Rats 2!

The last time I played (before the pregnancy update) I finished maxing out all of the women and seeing most of their scenes with about a month to spare.

Don't be shy about putting numbers and implementation details in there. * I am still holding out hope that you will provide a 'sandbox mode' where the day limit becomes infinite or very high (999), perhaps as a reward for finishing the game successfully on the regular time limit. It would be very nice to be able to explore all the content without having to constantly revert to saves after bad RNG runs. * There are a handful of typos still lurking in the text. Nothing horrible, but they tend to break immersion. Might want to take a look. Doing some grepping in the game/ folder and piping it through /bin/spell, I find a few words that fall out: unfortunatly shitily noticable noticably mispelling extracuricular disiplinary disasterous converstation cancelled awoken finaly deffinitly These words use the Brit spelling, not sure if that was intentional or not since most of the writing is in American English: favour favours multicoloured coloured

2017-10-22 14:04:28 +0000 UTCIt's just a small thing to change but maybe just turn the odds of finding the code for the lab in Stephanie's desk up to 100% on your first try. Or maybe if you do fail to find modify the text to say something like "I took the time to look through Stephanie's desk...blah blah blah.......but I didn't find anything of note, but I didn't have time to look everywhere I should try again later." I only make this suggestion because on my first play through I looked in the desk found nothing and then never looked again, and spent the entire 120 days making the serums one by one during the afternoon. PS thanks for the great game.

The shady guy you pick the serum materials could get a name, and hint at his company having financial troubles. Might be a little late, but instead of paying him with cash you could give him some illicit pictures of the girl.

If I had to put my finger on one thing that I might comment for, it would be that I was really hoping to see more alternate reactions from the girls for finishing inside them, if they're off their BC, as compared to when they're still using it... obviously if you've done the training to the point that they don't care any more, it'd be less of a concern, but it seems a little strange that, in each case, when you ask them to stop, the girl tends to give you a caveat about being careful, or in some way makes it clear that she doesn't want to get knocked up... but then generally doesn't actually seem to mind that you're not being careful at all.

As it is you basically have to reload a dozen times to have any chance of seeing either. 2. Is there any way to make the "look at Lily's computer/drawers" scene happen only once per influence level? Or maybe just make it happen less often. 3. The special potions are kind of unnecessary. They cost a lot, and since a lot of the events happen on weekends, its better just not to waste time with them. Maybe if there was a serum that decreased resistance?

(or make it so when you rest on the lawn you can meet Alexia more often, meet your sis, or your boss and or co-worker. 2: Add more to Stephanies desk maybe find some naughty things in there like with the bosses panties. 3: Gifts... I like giving my women gifts. ))))
