v0.13 Tutorial Work
Added 2019-01-16 08:05:27 +0000 UTCSome internet problems held this progress report up by a day, but I'm back online and have news about my recent development efforts! For v0.13 I'm working on improving gameplay explanations and feedback. One of the important parts of that is explaining to the player the basic building blocks of their business: research traits -> design serums -> produce serums -> sell serums. To that end I have added a tutorial section to the game taking place on the first day. Travel locations are restricted and you are guided around by Stephanie who shows you the different business locations and the jobs you do there. The first time you open several of the key business screens, like the serum design screen, you will now be shown a tutorial overlay that points out what different sections do. You are also given the option to skip the tutorial section.
Next up I will be looking at the sex subsystem and trying to find ways to make it more clear what is happening and why. The goal is to give the player enough information to make informed and interesting decisions while having sex. Meanwhile the new body renders are being completed after which I will take a look at clothing items which are having clipping issues and set those to rerender as well.

Just want to echo that the MC content is where the game really shines. The sex options seem to be plenty. I love the events and what not and would like to see more there.

I've no problem if it's a volontary choice but at least inform player on the night screen that 0 serum was produced because the percentage allowed is too low. Note too that, even if you code, using a variable and an array, permits you to add later more lines it will have nothing interesting bacause with integers the more lines you will have and the less serums you will produce :D

I hope you put half as much effort to strengthening the MC / personality altering content to as you have to the sex system. It's a tall order, yeah, but a sandbox game is the perfect place for this kind of thing to flourish.
2019-01-17 03:06:43 +0000 UTCGood day to you Vren, thank you for your continual hard work and you continue to stay in my backer list even after so long. I wish to ask though, is there any chance in the future where the character models return to that which is in lab rats 1? or will we ever have a chance to tweak the game models ourselves?
